Ace Hardware of La Crescenta — Local services in La Cañada Flintridge

I came into the La Cresenta Ace store for a couple of things today. I wanted a 4" coupling and a small piece of 4" pipe. I was happy to see that at first glance they had the parts, I grabbed what I needed and only then did I realize that all of the 3" and 4" fittings were schedule 80 while the pipe was schedule 40. Due to the thickness of the walls of the pipe and fittings they DO NOT INTERCHANGE. I asked a grey haired gentleman about the fittings only to be told he was not management and had nothing to do with the ordering of products. I felt this a little unprofessional but continued to look. After realizing that there were no matching parts I went up front to explain what I have found. The female Manager I spoke to was very understanding and appeared to truly care about what I was saying. Found what I wanted but took me a while as I needed help finding a particular tool and no one would help. I finally went to the help desk downstairs after searching all of aisle 42 and he helped me. Hoping the tool I got will work. It has an odd square end so hard to find. Also had to ask for help tlin the gardening section and bought bird bath bit it was so heavy I couldn't lift it. Had to get help after I bought it to get it in my trunk. I just wish it wasn't so hard to get help. Otherwise I felt blessed. The birdbath I got was sturdy cement so that's why I was unable t p even lift the two parts. Still better than DIY which had glass ones that break too easily. $69 for the good sized one at DIY. Only wish they were less expensive. Oh well I am pretty happy now it's in my back yard waiting for the birds to enjoy. Even got my discount with my ACE membership key...

Ok so this hardware store is really helpful to this neighborhood. As a licensed General Contractor I'm at this Ace Hardware often. They have almost everything you'll need for your home repairs, gardening, painting, plumbing, DIY projects and more. You get a discount if you're a contractor, senior citizen or are in the army. Every worker here is very nice and will take you to the item you're looking for if you ask them for it. Their staff is knowledgeable and can help you figure out what it is you're trying to do then help you decide choose the items you'll need. If you need to make a bulk order, ask for a manager and they may provide you a discount. I'd recommend this store.
