La Crescent Area Event Center — Local services in La Crescent

We loved our wedding at La Crescent Area Event Center. The staff was very flexible with everything that we wanted and our day went by perfectly. Having the hotel attached was really nice for our guests who came from out of town, the location is right off the highway so directions are simple, and it is minutes from downtown La Crosse for those who were new to the area. The venue attached was beautiful and perfect for our day. We had both the ceremony and reception in the same spot and the staff was extremely helpful in making that switch happen. The venue is very large and, while our guest count was shrunk because of COVID, the venue didn’t feel too big or too small. The lighting inside is beautiful and the extra amenities like the speaker system and additional spaces we could use (patio, dance floor, bar area) made everything easily accessible. Planning the event went by smoothly – while we worked with multiple event planners throughout the process, we had Hayden with us the day of and appreciated all the planning and prep he did for us – as well as appreciated seeing him there the day of, making sure things were going by with ease. Swing Bridge Pub hosted our drinks and we loved the many options we were given and the flexibility they gave us. Other things that we really appreciated: lots of parking, handicap accessibilities, affordability, beautiful interior, and great speaker system. Rebecca and the Event Center staff made hosting our wedding a breeze. We appreciated the attention to detail and meeting with us to make sure our wedding was everything wanted. The day of, staff were there the entire day making sure everything ran smoothly so no need to hire an additional coordinator. this is a brand new venue. It's very nice facility, but the help seemed unhappy, the bar was so overloaded that we ended up walking to the bar in the other room and still had to wait forever. Employees seemed indifferent at best. Food was okay. maybe it was the people holding the event but the hills something seemed very unorganized and inept.
