Sleep 4 Less Mattress, Furniture & Appliance Warehouse — Local services in La Crosse

0 STARS PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS PLACE!!!!!!! We went into sleep4less and tried out all the mattresses. We found one that we thought was really comfortable so we decided to go with that mattress. It was a Linenspa mattress. This mattress came in a box so we loaded up the box and took it home and opened it and realized that it was a Malouf mattress. The mattress felt nothing like the one in the store and it was the generic mattress of the one that we had laid on and paid for. I then took it upon myself to look on Amazon and found the mattress for sale for $189 that was the name brand version. We spent $406 on our new generic mattress that is too uncomfortable to even sleep on. He refused a refund knowing that he completely ripped us off. I then had my lawyer contact him and all he had to say for himself were profanities. Completely unprofessional which is to be expected when you are caught in lies. We are now taking it to court because how we were treated was completely unfair. We recorded the whole conversation. I don't even write reviews but I don't want other people to get ripped off of their hard-earned money. This guy is a complete scam artist and he is really good at it which is scary. His response back to this will be a big twist of manipulation words and a bunch of Lies. I have no reason to dislike this guy besides the fact that he completely lied and we lost out on $400 (until court). EVERYTHING HE SAYS IS A TWISTED LIE TO MAKE HIMSELF LOOK BETTER. I would also like for people who have purchased a mattress from him to look into what kind of a "deal" they really got.

Extremely rude customer service on the phone. I called to find out if they have thin, floor mattresses because my dog just had major surgery and isn’t able to get up on our bed and is having a hard time with it, so I want something I can sleep on the floor with her that’s easy for her to step up on. First off, when I asked if they had thin, floor mattresses he said “You’re calling to see if we have mattresses? We are a mattress warehouse”…so the conversation did not get off to a great start with him talking to me like I’m stupid. I said “yes I understand that, I’m wondering if you have this particular style of mattress since it’s not a typical mattress…” and I was told “you just have to come here and see”...I tried to tell him I can’t just come in and see because I am not able to leave my dog and I’d have to arrange it…when I tried to explain the situation and that I was just calling to inquire on availability and price to then hopefully make arrangements to come get one, I was repeatedly interrupted and spoke to like I was stupid, and then hung up on. When I called back to hopefully get some actual help, he says “I have 4 people in front me who ACTUALLY set up a time to come in, I told you that’s what you need to do”…that was never mentioned to me in the time that I was being so rudely spoken over…”I’ve been here 8 years” he says…”that's how we always do it!”….ok sir, this is my first time calling or even hearing about this place, and called with what I thought was a simple question..how am I supposed to just assume these things? Had to delete my previous review and the owner forced me to give him a good review. He even tried to type it in himself on my phone. I went in just wanting to look at beds and not buy one. I am a college student and on a budget so my dad was willing to help pay for the bed. The first thing I saw was a giant spider on the mattress that he made me try. He kept promoting it was a top of the line hybrid mattress and would not show me more options. When I asked the price it was $450 which was out of the price range my dad was willing to help with. I felt extremely uncomfortable and pressured into buying the bed and this man took advantage of that. He reassured me I was getting the best price and that a bed frame and box spring would be included. I told him that my dad would be paying for the bed and if he could get my dad‘s payment over the phone. He said it was fine but because my dad was at work and couldn’t answer the phone he was growing impatient and made me put in my payment information. He insisted that my dad would still be able to pay for the bed and take my information out he never told us that it was a payment plan that we were signing up for. He also then at the very end asked if we had a bedframe and I said no I thought it was included and he said nope and added in to the price a mattess protector without asking.The final price was over $600.
