La Grande Farmers' Market — Local services in La Grande

This is the local La Grande farmer's market. It's Saturday, 9 to 2ish. The number and variety of vendors varies from week to week and from year to year (obviously) but the atmosphere is usually friendly and there's food and live music, again with widely varying quality.

The only real down side is that it's pretty small. You can see everything to see or shop for in about an hour unless you're very, very slow at it, but if that's your thing, it's a nice way to spend...

I love this market! Everyone is very nice, the produce is always fresh and well displayed and Luther's leatherwork has fantastic bags, wallets & purses. We bought our Bunny, Lilly, there and then pastries are delicious. There is always something new - pottery, fresh flowers, paintings and homemade tamales, even home made jams, jellies, rum and oil & vinegar dressings. It's become a Saturday morning...

Local, fresh, amazing. I wait all year for this gem to open back up. During the summer I buy twice as much food for half the money and it lasts longer and tastes better than anything I can get in a store. I love seeing the seasonal changes in what is available. And there is a berry stand with all season strawberries that change in flavor, size and color as the year progresses. Can't say enough...
