First night in our apartment our stove doesn’t even have burners. The water in my bathroom sink did not run. And my garbage disposal didn’t turn on what so ever. To top it all off my sliding glass door and the only window Wouldn’t slide open properly. So after I finally get my window fixed I went to open the blinds.. turns out my blinds were duct taped together at the top and just slid back into the original spot. So practically all my blinds in my bedroom have fallen off from sliding them a few times. Then my kitchen light just stops turning on, I thought I should just change the bulb right? Wrong. It’s all electric so yet again I have to get somthing fixed. There’s construction work that’s been going on since I’ve moved in and it’s just non stop noise and dust until 5pm. They turn off the water for several hours every other week and your living room floods whenever it rains. they will literally lock your clothes in the laundry room at 9pm. (There’s a sign but all it says it don’t start laundry past 7. Never stating when it closes) so if your put your work clothes in around 6 your just out of luck the next day. Cherry on top on the cake! the pool, hot tub, and sauna have not worked since I’ve moved in January. I can’t imagine how much longer before I moved in it might have been out of order. If I’m paying for amenities I expect those. The only thing I have nice to say is that the apartment manager is very kind and understanding and the location is convenient. Mistakes happen and I understand that but this has just been the most awful experience I’ve had and I would not recommend this...
Read moreI would advise this complex to take note of the current renter's market. A lot of us are really qualified, and the market is saturated with a lot of great properties and options, probably will be the case for a while to come.
Gone are the days of aggressive and hostile conversations you attempt to have with potential new renters, or current tenants. So, you would be wise to adjust your approach and ditch the old tactics that you once may have felt entitled to use with potential renters. Especially when your property has such a terrible reputation already. You definitely need to figure some things out. You can't beat up on renters anymore like you are used to doing.
I'd definitely make a note of that somewhere. Literally three families moved out of my complex in a week. I'm moving in a few weeks or so, and the family below me too. Why? Because my management has been mistreating us for a while, and now, the rental market is flooded. Also people I know are moving back in with families and consolidating homes. This is gonna be a new era, and properties are going to need to shape up or ship out.
Nobody has come by to see any units at my complex, the word is getting out on properties with bad management, who are treating the residents badly. The units aren't filling right back up like they used to, either. You definitely need a new strategy at this point.
My two cents from a renter who had a negative experience with your management, upon considering...
Read moreIt is sad when individuals only take time to post negative reviews and rarely express positive experiences. I want to express Leslie Rohmann manages La Mesa Garden property with poise. Managing properties is never an easy responsibility and can take you away from having a work life balance. I enjoyed my apartment it was cozy and the location was great. I felt safe, the neighbors I had were very nice. I was impressed with Leslies knowledge and skills on what actions she needed to take with any situation that came up. The rain in La Mesa has not been kind to the building structure but Leslie managed any situation that came up unexpectedly to the best of her ability. I appreciate the quick responses in taking action with all that was necessary to accommodate me and my daughter. If it's not said enough Thank you Leslie for the efforts you make in trying to accommodate your tenants to the best of your ability. Torrey Pines Property Management is fortunate to have someone as yourself to manage their property. I have seen you in action with getting things done as soon as you could. A "can do attitude" non stop. THANK YOU !
Best wishes to you and your team in La...
