La Esquina Mexican Grill — Restaurant in La Mesa

I recently dined at La Esquina and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The first issue we encountered was the small portions. For the prices they charge, we expected more substantial servings. It left us feeling unsatisfied and wanting more.

What was even more frustrating was the inconsistency in the food quality. Some dishes were decent, but others were far from what we expected. It seemed like there was a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen, and it made our dining experience quite frustrating.

I appreciate a restaurant that values consistency and portion sizes, but unfortunately, La Esquina fell short on both fronts during our visit. I hope they can improve these aspects to provide a more satisfying dining experience in the future. I don’t think they have what it takes and will fall short of...

OMG 😲 this was not what I expected 😳 when I looked them up and saw the 4 star reviews. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito which per the menu included, Eggs, Cheese, Bacon and Potatoes. But mine had mostly Eggs, Bacon and Cheese....the potatoes weren't FULLY COOKED 😕 😐 🙃 🤔 😢. I'm not understanding how they could allow any order to be complete with some HARD POTATOES inside the Burrito??? This was such a HUGE disappointment 😞 😪 😔 😕 and whoever cooks the potatoes in this place needs to go BACK to the skillet 🍳 and take a lesson on HOW TO MAKE SURE THE POTATOES ARE FULLY COOKED BEFORE YOU SERVE THEM! Very long drivethru wait for only 2 cars ahead of me, pulled up to window and could see my food ready on the counter yet the cashier did everything else he could before attending to me and took another 5 mins to get my food once I pulled up to window. Food was cold and didnt taste good at all. I am thinking this is a different restaurant than than what used to be here ? Total wait time was close to 20 minutes for cold, blah, gross food that i could have eaten in the time frame I sat at the window staring at it ( if it even tasted good enough to eat the whole thing- which I didnt- just threw it out! )Super...
