Mattress Firm La Mesa — Hotel in La Mesa

If I could have given no stars I would of. The manager at this store is simply just a bad human being! I have a family relative that works for Mattress Firm and they told me to stop by any store to see if they have anything I like. I was in La Mesa so this is the store I stopped at. I told the the employee who ended up to be the manger, I was just coming in to look and see if anything was comfortable. The manager instantly started to fallow me around, asking question after question. I understand it's his job, but I was honest in the beginning that I was just there to look. I eventually told him I have a family relative that works for the company. The manger instantly started to harass me about what store they work at and there name, over and over and over again he kept asking! I then told him again, I'm just there to look and see whats comfortable! He then told me i was wasting his time and that I was making him lose money. The manger looked at me and said " leave the store and go somewhere else ". I then looked at him and said, so you're basically kicking me out because your mad that you won't get the sale? His response was " I'm not kicking you out I'm asking you to leave ang go somewhere else". I can't believe thats how I was treated and now Mattress Firm will not get the sale at all. I don't care if there is any kind of a family discount. My money is going to a different company. Mattress Firm, you need to treat paying customers better than this!!! Gid...

We have been needing a new mattress for awhile, and I've just recently started reading reviews on mattresses, checking consumer reports on 'best mattresses' and reading up on specifications. Why is there such a thing as a bed in a box, and why is it so much less than a mattress in a store? Why are there so many mattresses to choose from? It makes my head spin, because I need a good mattress that's going to last but I don't want to spend 5, 6 or 7 thousand dollars on something without a drive shaft! Our visit to the La Mesa Mattress Firm was just to add to my mattress curiosity and talk to an experienced dealer, and make his head spin with all my inquiries! The plan was to check out the mattresses, ask questions, get quotes and go home to contemplate which one would be best. We walked in, and we were greeted by Will. He asked what we were looking for and I let the questions, comments and the child within me run free! Will never missed a beat! He had a good sense of humor and a great attitude! I was ready to go home and think about the experience, and Will was accommodating with sending us home with information on the top 2 mattresses we liked. But I realized that Will had already given me all the information I needed, I knew which mattress felt the best after several test naps. We decided to go ahead with the purchase! Does anyone really like going mattress shopping? Well we don't but it was a delightful experience! We came into Mattress Firm with a set budget. I had done some mattress research before going in. Our salesman Myrone was the BEST!!!!! He answered all of my questions and you could tell he was being honest, not just trying to get a sale. He showed us all the items we asked for and there was no pressure. He patiently waited for us to lay on the mattresses to get a feel and figure out which type of mattress we liked (traditional with coils). I asked to try out mattresses that were not in our budget and he was kind and again didn't pressure us into a more expensive mattress. Turns out we really liked the higher end one (of course). He let us know the price and I said I wanted to think about it. I asked when he'd be in. The store again and he said Sunday. My husband and I went to dinner to discuss it and decided even though it was over 2x our budget we were gonna buy the higher-end one.
