I honestly don't want to even leave one star, after I witnessed my mom being harassed and bullied, belittled by there employees.... so here's the deal, my mom stumbled on a fantastic deal, a tool set on clearance for $1.75 about 40 of those sets for that bargain price. My mom loads everyone of them in her cart, I'm like good for you mom you got a bargain deal. However if we knew the harassment, judgment, the words that were said to her during check out we would have never let ourselves check out with those items. The first lady (Walmart employee) approached us and said can you part with a few of those for another guest? My response, sorry I think my mom wants to buy them all. Her response "well that's just greedy " she's being greedy.. we blew it off... made our way to the check out, and all eyes on us... the employees all in a circle talking about my mom...a cashier immediately says "can I get some of those" once again I say sorry I think my mom wants to buy them all. The employee says well that's selfish, she's selfish. This lady is so consumed with telling my mom she's selfish, she's leaving bags in her cheek out, she then needs to run after someone else for. And on our way out the employee once again told my mom she's selfish. My question to Walmart is why? Why is my mom greedy/selfish, why are your employees calling her these names? Why can you put something on sale and have 3 employees harass us for those sale items because they didn't see the deal first? How is my mom being called names and being harrassed for trying to check out items for sale? How is this ok? This store bullied/harassed my mother because she was buying something on sale, your employees are awful for that. You'll don't know my moms situation and she's been so upset/humiliated, confused, depressed, disrespected, crazy about this situation, she's almost 60 years old and never been treated the way these Walmart employees...
Read moreJune 6, 2018 approx. 11:05 I just visited the LaPlata Wal-Mart. Entered into the gardening section from the parking lot. When trying to cash out in gardening, the cashier wasn't in place, only to find out that he went on a 15 min break. Ok...so in most cases, there is a backup to cover these things. As I stood waiting with several seniors who came in thru the gardening section, I phoned the store to speak with a manager. Getting the asst. Mgr. she said she'll send someone over, only to have her appear to say that she couldn't find anyone. So I asked if she could check us out, she claimed that she sign in on the register because she's not from that store. She had ask another young man to sign in on a register but her requests were ignored as he continued stating to her that the system was down and that no one could sign in. I informed them that I had just witnessed the cashier checking people out as I was shopping. My approach was polite and non-confrontational. I had no issues with going to the other side of the store to check out because I am healthy and capable. But to have the senior citizens having to go to the other side of the store with loaded carts to checkout should not have happened. Mgmt. was lacking in this case. What's the use in having an asst.Mgr. on duty if she/he can't manage effectively. I try to give these Wal-Marts on this side of town a chance but there is constant disappointment which is why I drive over 30 mins and spend $6 for a toll to travel to Virginia. The Wal-Mart store in Clinton, Waldorf and LaPlata should be looked at closely and maybe send in some secret shoppers. They are horrible stores but fortunate for us, Wal-Marts are here for our convenience but it could be better served if the employees who are in positions to see that things run smoothly,...
Read moreThe Walmart auto center here is the WORST!!!! I went over there on Sunday Aug 4th to get my oil changed. I was there for about 3 hours. They finally got to my car and said that the oil would be changed in less than 30 mins. Once they were finished I paid and drove off. I drove my car for about 4 days before I started to hear noises and rattles from the engine. My called my brother and told him who suggested that I checked the oil. I told him that I had just gotten it changed and that shouldn't be the issue. I WAS WRONG. The guys in the auto center did not put oil back in my car after they drained it. I drove around for 4 days 2 hours away from home and my CAR STOPPED RUNNING. I called Thursday night to let them know what was going on. The manager on duty refused to get on the phone with me after I explained what happened. Instead he let the associate who answered the phone talk to me. They told me it was nothing that they could do, but I could bring my car back and get the oil put in it the next morning. I tried to explain to him that the damage was already done and that I could not drive my car. I also explained to him that I had to be at work the next morning and again that the car is not fit for me to drive. I called corporate also, the advised me to go in and talk to the store manager or an assistant manager. My brother took me to the store to get oil and let me use his vehicle to drive to work the next day. When I got off yesterday I went to Walmart in person to explain again to a different manager what had happen. The manager said he would look into the matter and told me what my options where. I still haven't heard back as of this morning. JUST F.Y.I do not take your CAR TO GET...
