Highly highly recommend! These ladies are genuinely the sweetest. I went in prepared to cut off what was left of my hair, after 18 months of chemotherapy and rounds of radiation I truly did everything in my power to keep my hair. From the hair loss and thinning, I was at my wits end and had finally got sick of looking in the mirror and feeling sick. My hair, was gone and I had to come to terms with that.

It took me quite some time to finally make an appointment (and to be honest if they hadn’t have made time for me I would have let my anxiety win again and just went home) Melody originally answered the phone, 10/10 so sweet, no openings but told me she’d reach out to another stylist and get back to me.. 10 minutes later I got a call Wendi had time and I was booked. I sat in my car reading my book trying to calm my nerves… go in and begin to explain I have to chop off what was left of my paper thin hair… Wendi consulted with melody and said “what about extensions”

This was a thought that never crossed my mind.. one I always thought that extensions were EXPENSIVE and way out of my budget (single momma here) and I also thought it was a lengthy process… but to my surprise neither of those were the case.

These ladies gave me back a sense of myself I had lost quite some time ago. I can actually put a bun in my hair!! My pony tail LOOKS like a pony tail and not a single strand of hair. The self love when I look in the mirror.. I see me.. i don’t see cancer staring back at me. For that I am FOREVER grateful. 🥹

I’ve been getting my hair cut, colored and styled at Texas Roots for going on 2 years. I’m extremely picky about the shade of blonde I like my hair to be and Melody knocks it out of the park every single time. Everything about Texas Roots is spot on. The interior and exterior decor are absolutely adorable. All of the ladies who work there are very talented, professional and friendly. When you express what your vision is for your hair they really take in your view and exceed your expectations. Melody takes excellent care of my hair. I’ve noticed a significant amount of growth over the last two years.

The salon is well kept and very clean. All of the stylists seem to have very well organized stations.
