A little over two weeks ago… 5am, freezing, snowing, dark and throwing down salt on the driveway. I decide to take my gloves off, not smart, then in the blink of an eye with a throw of salt… my Claddagh ring that my wife gave me about 36 years ago goes flying into the air and snow. Gone. Heartbroken and methodically looking for hours, no sign at all as snowplows descend on our street. Days go by… looking now and then to no avail and so sad. Nine days later as I pull into the garage, my wife was standing there with tears in her eyes… Oh no, what’s happened?! She holds out her hand and there is the lost ring! Crushed and deeply scraped but found! Now we’re both crying and laughing. Thank you, Jesus, for answering our prayers and giving me back this small token of love. She spotted it earlier as she pulled in, gleaming in the sunshine right on the driveway where we had looked for days. So, what do we do? Of course, we know Curt Parker could take care of it. We brought the ring to him last week and today it is back on my finger. Curt did the most amazing surgery on this poor ring and now it looks brand new. Recently took our wedding rings and my wife's earrings in for a re-appraisal for insurance purposes and although I don't consider myself a high dollar client, I was treated like royalty! One of the owners, Elizabeth, remembered me from 23 years ago when my wife and I originally purchased the rings, and couldn't have been more accommodating. Elizabeth and Curt were wonderful to work with. Elizabeth helped us explore options in our budget and helped source the diamond we were looking for. Curt was able to talk us through the structure of our ring and made us feel comfortable that the diamonds would stay secure in the setting. Elizabeth also worked with us discussing the pros and cons of various styles and made excellent suggestions on what ring would work best for me. We feel that we got a high-quality engagement ring at a reasonable price.
