Did not leave this review to get a 'free' gift and was not compensated in any way. People were given gifts at the show if they left positive reviews. While i understand the power of positive reviews in getting new business, those reviews don't provide genuine constructive criticism that tells you how to make the show even better. Paid for reviews are short sighted. Concentrate on getting return customers- we came once and if show is good we will come again and bring more friends. Was an entertaining evening, actors were good. Food was good tasting, salad was adequately sized but main course portion was a bit small, five asparagus sticks, a very small chicken breast, and a tiny potato cut into two pieces. Carrot cake for desert was generously sized. There is a 'venue' fee added to the cost of tickets slipped in during online check out. If that's part of the cost raise the ticket price. Did not like clues presented via our phones- unfortunately my phone did not have good wifi so i was left in the dark on the clues. That happened to other people at other tables. For the price of nearly $200 for myself and guest could have on hand 4 or 5 sets of printed paper clues, or at least let me tell you at the door i have bad wifi so you could print a copy for us. Instead of spending money on the free gifts in exchange for reviews, print out papers so we can enjoy the show more. Give everyone the free gifts so we leave happier and leave genuine reviews. Everyone likes take home goodies. The acting was good, really liked how they interacted with people at tables as it made it more fun. We went with a group of friends, we enjoyed it and will be back. Hopefully the criticism i wrote will be taken constructively to make the show even...
Read moreMy experience at The Dinner Detective was an absolute blast! While the acting leaned toward the corny side, it only added to the charm of this interactive murder mystery. The detectives were a riot, keeping us laughing throughout the evening with their quick wit and playful banter. The script struck the perfect balance between lighthearted fun and engaging intrigue, making it an ideal night out.
The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, encouraging everyone to relax, mingle, and fully immerse themselves in the whodunit experience. While the food was what you’d expect from hotel catering, it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the event.
If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to spend an evening with friends or family, The Dinner Detective delivers laughs, mystery, and memories in equal measure. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a good laugh and doesn’t take themselves...
Read moreI recently attended Dinner Detective and I have to say—it was an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric. The actors were fantastic, staying in character the whole time and keeping us laughing, guessing, and completely immersed in the story.
The plot was cleverly written with just the right amount of twists and red herrings to keep everyone on their toes. Guests were encouraged to participate, which made it feel like we were part of the show, not just watching it. There was even a prize for the best detective of the night!
Dinner itself was delicious—great portions, well-paced with the unfolding drama, and the service was on point. Whether you're a mystery buff or just looking for a unique night out, this experience is a must-try.
I’ll definitely be coming back… if I survive...
