Lafayette is a great place to wander through time by looking at a variety of vintage art, memorabilia and ephemera. Some pieces are in amazingly good condition and others truly need to be thrown out. All of the displays are clean and well lighted. Everything is labeled but accuracy of the descriptions can be suspect or so general as to be useless. It's good to be an educated consumer and bring a smart phone. Prices are much higher than further west into NEPA and Upstate NY, but not as bad as in NYC or the nearby Suburbs. Worth a trip.

One of my favorite antique centers in the area with 3 floors to explore. Tastefully curated, the market features many collections and vendors focusing on a particular topic - for example, vintage cameras or vintage paintbrushes, vintage packaging or rare books. Unlike make antique centers, the shops are separated from each other with a different checkout for each. Very strict on closing time so make sure to be prompt.

There are a number of dealers and it’s well laid out. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant. There’s also something to be said for antiques in an old building. You will notice many reviews from folks who enjoy the experience of walking through and browsing. Unfortunately, for serious collectors, it runs into the problem that plagues most antique malls. Everything is priced at a level that expects negotiation, well above comparative prices. Pricing in the modern antique market has a lot of sources of prior sales. Unless the dealer is there or nearby, or you’re local, you can’t do that negotiation. So unsurprisingly, my only purchases were with dealers who were present at their stalls, and those were reasonable deals after they knocked some off the prices. The other issue is there are, or were when I was there, multiple points of sale across stalls rather than one counter, so it’s sometimes a little unclear where you’re supposed to pay for something, especially if you’re using a credit card. My advice because of that, as with most antique shops, is...

Well, I was really excited for two months to check out the store and I finally was able to get off work early enough to come take a look. Each area beautifully arranged. Although I was admiring as I am a dealer myself, and looking at purchasing some pieces, I was asked to leave at 4:50 having been inside 15 minutes max, when I said I was surprised as there was still ten minutes to close and that I’d come to buy vintage clothing, I was then watched like a hawk and told to hurry, because the other vendors wanted to close up early. I felt really uncomfortable unwelcome, and it was almost as though they thought I was going to shoplift or something. I might be younger, but I am a dealer myself and truly admire collections from the past. Was extremely disappointed how I was treated there and will not return. Really unfortunate but there are other antique stores in the county that will prioritize customer service and won’t be so rude to someone who was clearly there to support a local business and not just waste peoples time, like mine...

This landmark is a must visit for all antique collectors or anyone who wants to visit a small town! Loaded with charm, this quaint mill is loaded with great antiques at bargain prices. I have been collecting for over 30 years and finding this little gem has been the answer to all my antique wants. EVERY time I go there, I never leave empty handed. Somehow, someway something finds me and begs me to take it home! Of course, all the dealers have given me a generous discount without having to negotiate!! I've been going there for about 10 years and if a I see something I can't live without, and the dealer is not there, the other dealers call the person and tell them it's me and I get the red carpet discount. I've even been able to work out payment plans for higher priced treasures!! Kim, Tony, Maggie, Suzy, Maria, Daryl and others too many to name have been just...
