Millside Cafe is located in a charming historical little town called Lafayette. This cafe is perfect for any ocasion as meeting, family breakfast or lunch, or a date. The staff is friendly, quick, and offer wonderful customer service. The menu is carefully curated, offering great choices for breakfast or lunch. The portions are very generous, and the prices are more than fair. My choice was the Chicken Panini, a grilled chicken with tomatoe, letuce, avocado, and herbs mayo on a fresh panini bread. The sandwich comes with fresh baby spinach, cherry tomatoe, and mixed green salad. Add a cappuccino, and you have a healthy delicious lunch. For all the good things this place offers - hospitality and quality- I would like to rate it five stars and give credit where credit is due.

This is my 2nd time here. And it’s great every time. My last visit it was very very loud but I still enjoyed my stay. But the food is to die for. Pancakes are not to sweet. And the antique stores are a couple footsteps away. And you can do fishing in the area too. The Monte Cristo was my favorite so far. Can’t wait to bring others here. And the brownies and coffee cake were delicious. Corned beef was my favorite dosent taste like the can at all.

Such a charming spot in town! The food is delicious and fresh. Always wait to decide until you hear the specials! The staff are incredibly sweet, they give you space to enjoy your meal but they're right there if you need anything! It's also situated near some lovely shops so you can do a little local shopping! It always makes for a pleasant stop!

UPDATE: The generic apology to save face with no accountability speaks volumes. No amount of complimentary meals or paid reviews will buy you customers.

Worst experience by far. We were first seated at a tiny table in the back by the bathroom and kitchen and requested to be moved for sanitary reasons. Then, we waited over an hour without any communication or update from our waitress to indicate any issue or delay with our order. During that time, no one came to check on us or even offer us water. When my husband and I asked for an update, our waitress rudely told us it would be 15 minutes more without offering any apology or explanation. At this point, it would be at least 1 hour and a half without any food. We were also served coffee on a broken chipped glass mug. When I pointed it out, the waitress laughed and could care less. This is clearly a liability for multiple reasons. We thought this may be an issue primarily with service, but when we spoke with “management”, we were verbally assaulted by the owner who took no responsibility. There were other customers who were also screamed at by the alleged owner Jessica in front of others as if she was in a street brawl. Her own partner had to ask her to calm down while everyone else looked appalled at such disgusting behavior. In retrospect, I should’ve taken out my phone to record and publicly expose the shameless display of customer service. But the owners have no control over the business and will continue to lose customers on their own. My husband and I left never to return. There were several other customers who also walked out and in disbelief over the atrocious manner in which customers are treated and spoken to. I hope this spares others from having to experience...

I've been wanting to try this place for years now since I moved out here almost 5 years ago. Finally the first visit on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Nice friendly greeeting on the way in from one of the waitress's clearing a table . Had my pick of seating pretty much so I sat in the corner to have a good view of the place. Not crowded as I must have just missed the early afternoon rush. Looked over the menu and ordered the tuna melt. It came out in 5 minutes. Absolutely delicious ! Yum ! pickle, chips, Jersey tomato on a piece of lettuce with fresh barley included. The atmosphere is sheer country but then again you are out in the country in a very old and charming town from yesteryear. Anyway its very relaxed, comfortable and clean. All the tables and chairs are old and different. Some smaller table's are old kitchen tables from back in the day. Its a kick your shoes off kind of place with that old world look and simple feel. Its a very cool old wooden building with upper and lower front porches right next to a babbling stream from back in the day when trains used to chug by just a couple hundred feet or so up the road delivering goods to what is now antique shops. All home made stuff here. The pies look fabulous. If you want that alamode no problem. This is my kind of place and its right in my back yard. Perfect. I defintely intend to go back on a more regular basis as I live near by. And lets not forget to mention very friendly and efficient service. That is always an important part of any dining experience. So have your next Sunday brunch at the Millside Cafe !...

We were driving home from a family trip and passed through this cute little town. We had our dog with us so our lunch stop required outdoor seating. I ran inside Millside Cafe to see if we could sit on their porch with our dog for lunch. The owner replied “Sure. Grab a seat outside, and we’ll try to make it out there.” That should have been my first clue. We sat at a table on the far left side. There was another table seated outside with only waters, so I figured they would see us once they came out to serve them. The waitress came out a few minutes later to serve the other table, looked at us, and then walked back inside. At this point, we didn’t even have a menu, so we were trying to look for a menu online. About 10 minutes later, I went inside to see about getting a menu or sending someone out to at least get drinks started. I went in and asked for a menu. The owner replied “I thought you left! Where are you sitting?! Please sit on the porch!” I told her we were sitting outside at one if her tables, and the waitress even went out there and saw us, but didn’t come over. She walked away from me, and another customer handed me a menu. We looked at the menu and said we would wait 5 more minutes. Another waiter came out to help the other table again, and walked right back inside. We left. We wasted 30 minutes and got yelled at, and didn’t even have a chance to eat. As we left, another customer even commented that the food was great, but the service...
