I stopped in at the LaGrange Farmers Market after taking my patient to his doctor. This was my second visit to this indoor produce market, but I was able to spend a little more time there this trip. All of the produce and other items were arranged and stacked quite neatly and all of the produce seemed quite fresh. There were so many items to choose from, it was difficult not to go over my budget. This store has just about any vegetable or fruit you could possibly want such as: bananas, oranges, pears, peaches, apples, kiwi, plums, grapefruit, sweet potatoes, baking potatoes, squash, okra, tomatoes, corn, turnips, collards, pole beans, etc. The list goes on to include several varieties of certain fruits and veggies like butternut and acorn squash, golden delicious, Granny Smith and Red Delicious apples, Naval Oranges,Tangerines, Clementines, Red, purple and green grapes, and a variety of melons to name a few. There is a large variety of fresh herbs, peppers, and a wonderful variety of dried fruits such as papaya, mango, kiwi, bananas, cranberries and so much more. Customers can also choose from the large selection of trail mixes and old fashioned candies, not to mention the great selection of nuts such as peanuts, pistachios, almonds and more. The Lagrange Farmers Market also has a huge frozen food section that contains a variety of frozen peas, beans, greens, fruits, and some yummy looking homestyle biscuits, just to name a few. There is also a cold section with bacon, seasoning meats, etc. Personally, I was very excited to find the large arrangement of plants, hanging baskets, succulents and trees the Lagrange Farmers Market has for sale; where I spent most of my money, I'm afraid. Lol The only thing the Lagrange Farmers Market doesn't offer for customers, I wish they would, are wheelchairs for anyone that would might need one so they could shop also. My patient had to sit in the car after walking around for a few minutes inside the market because the store was too large for him to walk around for too long, even holding onto a buggy. All in all though, it was a really enjoyable experience. The employees were very helpful and courteous, the prices were reasonable on some things, and they have buggies, boxes, and crates to accommodate...
