Mi Pueblito Supermarket Deli & Taqueria — Restaurant in LaGrange

Sigh.... Enchiladas Verdes and happiness 😊 I did not expect to get this quality of food inside a small grocery store / taqueria in the small town of LaGrange. Needless to say, much goodness has been discovered today. I'm absolutely stuffed silly (yes I ate that whole plate), but it's alllll gooood as they say. Just a wild guess, but I believe the tortillas were either fresh made or at least not mass market style. They tasted like fresh made. The Verde was nice and thick and carried a nicely balanced amount of heat, as did the chicken enchiladas. Will definitely definitely be back for seconds and thirds 👍. The wife says the chorizo is some of the best she's had in quite a while. We also walked the small store. I've noted a few items I'll be back for, hashtag molasses cookie cake? Cake cookies? I’m a truck driver and I am in town till Monday and I needed to get some laundry done. While I was waiting I noticed this Mexican restaurant/ store next door. After I finished laundry I was hungry so I thought why not give them a try cuz I love me some carnitas. And they did not disappoint me. The carnitas were amazing and the service was incredible. It’s a small mom and pop and those are the best. Everyone was friendly, the food was great and the price was fair. Such a quaint and comfy place to eat lunch or dinner! The service was very friendly and we were handed tons of candy favors after dinner including an authentic spicy lollipop. I ordered the carnitas plate and was impressed by how moist and flavorful the pork was. After dinner we walked around the supermarket connected to the restaurant and loved seeing the dried spices, Mexican sweet rolls, Hispanic snack and beverage products, and dried fish and fresh cheese and fruits.
