Second Time Around of LaGrange — Local services in LaGrange

I’d give this place a zero if I could. Came down to Lagrange for the day looking for a fun antique desk for my child. Brought our kids in (as they’re mature and respectful enough to handle these types of stores) and immediately upon walking in an older woman (later I was informed she’s the owner) - clearly trying to do so out of my ear and eyesight - insisted my older son look at an “antique photo”. It was obvious my child was uncomfortable with it and her level of closeness so I walked over. The photo was obviously fake and showed a family with 12 fingers and 12 toes. Disturbing for a young child to be forced to look at, in addition she then argued with the photos legitimacy. Whatever!!! I brushed it off as clearly this woman had lost any and all social filters. We continued to walk around, found a desk my child liked and continued throughout the store to see if there were any final options. As we rounded a corner - my daughter was lagging behind us slightly - and this same older woman jumps out from behind a curtained closet saying “boo” to her, understandably terrifying my daughter! Like who in the world thinks it’s funny to intentionally scare a stranger, let alone a child!!! Now, before we’re accused of “not being able to take a joke” I can assure you we can. But being SCARED by a STRANGER while minding your own business and shopping their business, is simply unhinged. Absolutely no one would have found this situation funny. Goes without saying they’ve lost our business. Be warned, this store has plenty of “dead end aisles” and upon turning around - be prepared for a crazy old woman jumping out...
