Am I the only ONE PERSON THAT'S NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY EVERY Single ITEM WE ONCE PAID UNDER $10 for a year ago is now, depending on who it's for, $50 to $100 now? Come on. No way that hand mirror and matching comb and brush set, hasn't been in some warehouse waiting for its turn to come into the department store.... So in conclusion....some items at this Market Basket remain in the price range it always has .... Then BAM SHOOKA BAM BAM....That freaking mirror, hairbrush and comb set shows up.... I don't even get upset in a negative way .... I just laugh and laugh because GUES WHAT? IF WE WANT THE SET; WE WILL PAY WHATEVER THE DOGGONE STORE ASKS US TO PAY....lol Welcome to Market Basket! This is my new favorite place to get meat in the lake Charles area!! They smoke their own meat in store and it is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend the deli counter, Larry is my new favorite person! He was a wealth of information, very friendly and was kind enough to let me sample sausage and boudain before I bought a bunch. I also learned you can put in orders ahead of time and ask them to freeze it for you which saves time if you're traveling. We're from out of state so this was s bonus for us! The deli meat is slightly different from the prepackaged meat they also offer, the prepackaged stuff is sent out of store to be smoked and packaged. Definitely recommend the in store meats. Used the pickup service. Several of the items were not available even though they were on the sale paper. When I arrived to pick up, I phoned the number. It rang and rang, then a message came on and said the voice mail was not available. After calling 3 times, I called the main site number. I was told that the person in charge was filling orders and had left the phone at the service desk. I waited a long time just to find out that I didn't get several of my items. No feedback that they weren't available. Rouses will text you and ask if you want a different item. Nothing was said. Just...
