Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Louisiana

Chicken tastes very good. Honestly I feel that this place will if not already give both Popeyes and Church’s a run on taste and crispyness of chicken. Fries are good. They do need to work on the red beans and rice. In my opinion it’s too runny and it’s lacking spice and flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy is lacking flavor as well. It has a light gravy and seems to not have been salted maybe? Jalapeños is an absolute must for me to have with fried chicken. Presentation of their jalapeños was nice as they seem to have been marinated in something along with onions and I think it maybe was carrots…but I’d prefer a regular “hot” jalapeño. These jalapeños had some type of flavor but it just wasn’t what I would look for in a fried chicken restaurant.

Overall, I’d definitely go back for the chicken and fries. I still give them a 5 because maybe some others do like the flavors of the red beans, mashed potatoes, and peppers. They are just not for my palate and I don’t think these particular items beat popeyes...

This joint is attached to a convenience store, the owners of the convenience store on both. They are awesome people, and I have to say, all the food I've tried so far has been quite good. Some people find their chicken tenders to be a little spicy, but I love them. And unlike larger brands like popeyes. They serve real tenders, so if you eat a Whopper meal from Burger king, the 310 door with a side or more than fill you up. Not fancy, but clean with fast service! And what they do, they do well! The 10 piece fried fish nuggets with fries (or fried okra if it's just for me) for $6.99 is what we get every time. Sometimes 6 of them, if all the family is at our house! Their fries are good and so is their tartar sauce, & the fish chunks are larger than what "nugget" suggests and seasoned just right!
