Bowright Whiskey Company — Local services in Lake City

My wife and I were staying in the Lake City area back in Sept 2024, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We were mapping out things to do and saw Bowright Whiskey Company. It definitely peaked our interest, so we had to stop. It did not disappoint. What a great place, with great people. It was nice to sit down and talk to the owner, Bryan, and hear the story behind the business. Of course, while sipping on a couple of wonderful craft cocktails. Fast forward to today. I had mentioned to Bryan back then that I would post a review since we enjoyed our time there so much. Well, I failed and did not post a review back then, so here it is. We did a taster of each bottle. Personally, I enjoyed every bottle that Bryan has put together. My two favorites are the blended bourbon and the blended rye. To be honest, I'm not a rye guy, but his rye is excellent, and it may even come in ahead of the bourbon for me. But... I still bought a bottle of the bourbon, which I FINALLY opened tonight. I stopped by early one Friday evening and tried a taster of three of their bourbons. They are using different casks to give different flavor notes to the whiskey, and it works great. We stopped in to check it out last night —very impressive. The owner was amazing, kind and gracious. Brenda was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back! The flights were fabulous, the old fashions were incredible and we are looking forward to trying the blackberry sour.
