Coffee Cup — Restaurant in Forest Township

I don’t even want to give it a one star but can’t leave a review without it. All I can say is shame on whoever made the decision not to serve us yesterday! We went in with our family to eat. It was busy and we had to split up. Four sat in a booth and we sat at a long table with other people with our granddaughter. We put our order in and then our other family members about ten minutes later put theirs in. As we were waiting for our food , tables emptied and we refilled and orders taken . We waited and waited . Finally our other family members got their food. Then five other tables around us got theirs. This continued with the excuse that they only had one cook . After everyone was served and not us (after waiting an hour)and our four year old granddaughter was so hungry we got up and left. It didn’t dawn on me what had happened until our other family members enlightened me. I truly didn’t believe this would ever happen in Lake City . I am saddened that this restaurant has hate in their hearts. You see , our four year old was adopted and is a beautiful black girl. The people working that day should be ashamed...

When ordering takeout it's frustrating that you quote 25-30 min and when I come in 15-20 the food has been packed and bagged sitting on a table for who knows how long. Asked for napkins over the phone, no napkins. Reason for the review is our simple order was wrong. I called to let them know I would be returning it. When I brought it back, completely understanding, saying, no biggie, just want my money back because I dont have time to wait another 25 I was given a HUGE ATTITUDE. Met with arguing and back and forth. Waitress opening it up to inspect it, showing owner cook, who's yelling from the back so I can hear her telling me it's right. Do you really think your customers WANT to return food? They just want it to be correct. I think you must be confused. It's not making a mistake, it's how you handle it. Your attitude lost our patronage. Best of luck during these terrible times for restaurants. Perhaps youre distracted from all the covid requirements because since then we have not liked your restaurant or your approach but wanted to give you the benefit...

I had a bad experience when eatting an early lunch before So a few months later wantted to try a breakfast. So I go digging and the website said open. The recording on the phone says the hours and again it should been open. Thurs morning 8am. But it wasnt.This place nv is what it says it is I finally gave up. *So glad u feel that u need to patranize me and poke fun at. But the sad reality is this is just an over priced run of the mill diner. So my cereal u seem to find funny was alot more enjoyable than bothering to waste money here. Which i did give u a try today also. Ordered off the internet menu. When i got there what was 6.99 turned into 12.99 and 6.99 was now 8.99. you didnt honor the prices that were out there u just said oh well and blew it off. Last i knew that was against the law! But no worries. Ill nv step foot in there and ill be sure to let EVERYONE know about ur remark to my last stay at ur doner and this last one. Where i was completely blind sided and ripped off. No more headaches from here. Good luck with those...
