My recent encounter with Computer Place Ubreakifix was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, I sought their expertise to address a seemingly simple issue: fixing or replacing my device's screen. However, what followed was a cascade of mishaps and frustrations.
Upon receiving my device back, I quickly realized that the "replacement" screen they installed was plagued with issues, rendering it practically unusable. To compound matters, during the repair process, they managed to damage my logic board, a critical component of the device. Despite their assurances to rectify the situation, subsequent visits only exacerbated the problem.
In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, they replaced the logic board not once, but twice. Regrettably, each replacement failed to resolve the underlying issues. Adding insult to injury, the touch ID functionality, integral to the device's security features, ceased to function altogether.
As if that weren't enough, the final blow came when the device's battery refused to hold a charge, leaving me with a device that was not only dysfunctional but also virtually unusable. The frustration and inconvenience caused by this ordeal are immeasurable.
In addition to the litany of issues I encountered with Computer Place Ubreakifix, their lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction reached new lows when they offered to buy back my device for a mere 10% of what I initially paid for it. This insulting offer only served to underscore their incompetence and unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes.
To make matters worse, not only did I endure the frustration of dealing with a malfunctioning device, but I also discovered that vital files stored on the device were inaccessible due to their mishandling of the repair process. The loss of these files has had a significant impact on my work and personal life, further highlighting the extent of their negligence and incompetence.
In light of these egregious shortcomings, I cannot in good conscience recommend Computer Place Ubreakifix to anyone seeking reliable and competent repair services. My experience serves as a cautionary tale against entrusting them with valuable devices and personal data.

Read moreI am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your location (Lake Forest, CA) regarding a simple cracked screen repair for my iPad, which I brought in on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
At the time of drop-off, I was informed that the repair would take over a week, with a projected completion date of Thursday, August 28. However, on the day of the expected pickup, I received no communication confirming that the device was ready. I called the shop and was told the technician was on lunch and would return my call shortly. That call never came.
Later that day, I visited the shop around 4:30 PM and was informed that the repair was not complete and that I would need to wait until Monday, September 1. Again, I received no prior notice of this delay. I requested a refund so I could take my business elsewhere, but was told the service was non-refundable, leaving me with no choice but to wait.
On Monday, September 1, I returned to the shop only to be told once again that the repair was still not complete. At this point, I had waited 12 days for a basic screen replacement, with no updates or communication throughout the process. I reiterated my request for a refund, which was finally granted.
I ultimately took my iPad to another repair shop, where the screen was replaced in just 30 minutes.
This experience was unacceptable. The lack of professionalism, communication, and respect for customer time and expectations has led me to lose all confidence in UBREAKIFIX. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend your services to others.

Read moreI wouldn’t even give a star if I had the option. I was referred to Ubreakifix by geek squad at Best Buy for my computer. It started off great we chatted with Josh at the front desk he told us changing the hard drive would take two days. At this time they told me to buy a certain hard drive and it happened to be the wrong part. This took a couple days. My first thoughts is okay no big deal sometimes this happens. The tech talked me to again and told me to get a different hard drive online. I bought it and took it in and they told me after 5 days they couldn’t get it to work. And they needed to buy another part so they can reformat it. They told me the part was going to arrive that Monday. I called Thursday asking for an update on my computer since I haven’t heard anything. The tech wouldn’t even talk to me. The guy on the phone told me the tech was busy talking with someone else and couldn’t come to the phone to give me an update. I told him I would wait. He told me he was busy and was going to call me later that day. My dad happened to go to the store to see if the tech can talk and give a quick update. Turns out the tech wasn’t even in working that day. They haven’t been working on my computer and that the part they needed hasn’t been ordered. This was a giant waste of time 2 days turned into 2 weeks. They lied about the tech working on it.
For icing on the cake, I brought the computer home and they messed up the USB ports and I can’t plug anything in. So on top of all the lying they broke...
