Strike 1: called before the store opened and said I needed to buy a gift certificate that day. Left my info. Nobody called me back. Strike 2: ordered gift card ($500+) and asked if there was a way to have it delivered as I am on crutches and cannot drive. Nope. We can mail it to you if you pay shipping (?!) was the answer. Strike 3: daughter went to pick up card and store was complete chaos. Nobody managing the customer queue. Even though she was just picking up, all 3 associates were helping 1 patron with two more waiting. Strike 4: the gift wrapping they offered me over the phone ended up being so tacky looking. Cheap ribbon, the gift card did not fit in the bag and the worst part was this gift is for someone who celebrates Hanukkah and they used red and green tissue paper. So now I need to completely re-wrap so I don’t look like an insensitive clod. We are always encouraged to shop local, which I love to do. But experiences like this make it really frustrating. Rather than a personal, curated experience you get this nonsense. I know the store has great merchandise but with service like this, it is worth seeking out...
