If you have kids, THIS is the premiere place to have an enjoyable ice cream experience. Not only is the ice cream high quality, Ray’s ice cream, the staff is super kind, courteous, and well trained, and the setting of Cookies & Cream is just ideal!!! Imagine taking your children out to get some ice cream, without having to worry about busy roads, or eating your ice cream in a parking lot, or your kids getting bored 1.2 seconds after they finish their ice cream…

This is what makes Cookies & Cream so remarkable!! With their big grassy space, they have a giant Connect Four game, cornhole and chalk art right next to clean picnic tables making it easy for parents to watch their children having fun (while having a chance to finish their own ice cream). And before or after ice cream, the whole family can enjoy the playground at Children’s park, watch the sunset over Lake Orion from the gazebo, or enjoy the wildlife of fish and ducks from the foot bridge spanning over Paint Creek.

Plus, here’s some insider secrets… Tuesday night is Kid’s Night with guided activities for the kids. Friday’s you’ll often find live music coming from the outdoor stage immediately adjacent to Cookies & Cream. If parents would enjoy an adult beverage, there are plenty of options like Oat Soda, Wine Social, Bitter Tom’s and more that allow you to purchase and enjoy your open adult beverage throughout the entire surrounding area of Cookies & Cream and the downtown area!

Hands down, you won’t find a more complete/all-round enjoyable experience centered around delicious ice cream than Cookies & Cream in the heart of Downtown Lake Orion.

Very dissatisfied with Cookies and Cream by Spout Bake. The location is pretty inconvenient and awkward to get to, making the overall experience start on a frustrating note. Despite our anticipation, we were met with disappointment right from the beginning. The parking situation was challenging, and the entrance wasn't clearly marked, which added to our frustration.

Once we finally arrived, we encountered a very long wait despite there not being a long line. The staff seemed unorganized and overwhelmed, which contributed to the delay. This was especially frustrating as we had hoped for a quick and enjoyable visit. When we finally received our order, the experience only worsened.

I got a strawberry ice cream, and it was an incredibly small portion, far below what I expected for the price. Worst of all, it tasted sour and spoiled, making it inedible. This was particularly disappointing given the bakery's reputation. The quality of the ice cream was unacceptable and raised concerns about their storage and handling practices.

Overall, our visit to Cookies and Cream by Spout Bake was a significant letdown. Cookies and Cream by Sprout Bake never disappoints. My family has been coming to this small, local family owned, ice cream shop since it opened and every experience we've had has been great start to finish!

The location is perfect! Tucked in right next Children's Park is great for grabbing your sweet treat and letting our kiddo play! They also provide yard games, plenty of seating, wall/sidewalk chalk, and activities throughout the week for us and everyone else to enjoy.

Over the years Cookies and Cream has really homed in on favorite flavors and combinations and does such an amazing job at rotating cult classics and introducing new flavors. I love their cookies and ice cream bars. However, what my family loves to order most is ice cream in their homemade waffle cones and mix and match a favorite flavor with a new flavor, which we can easily do since portion sizes are generously sized.

We LOVE how even on the hottest and busiest weekends the staff and owners are really kind, patient, and helpful (even when you have an indecisive kid picking out a milkshake!). The shop is small, but they always have big smiles when they bring your order out.
