We were a group of 8 men in mid-forties, all originally from India but immigrated to the States years back. We took the Peanut Island snorkeling trip on March 3rd, morning. Everything in the snorkeling trip went well except the below:

1. Captain Mike, who gave us all the instructions and everything, kept pronouncing the name incorrectly despite us repeatedly telling him. It was ‘Ravi’ and he kept calling him ‘Raj’.
2. He also mentioned that he doesn’t understand our accents. And when I said we can understand his accent, he said because ‘my accent is easy’.
3. He also made a comment on couple of guys on a jet ski next to his that they are playing Puerto Rican music and he doesn’t understand it. Mike asked first mate Sabien (who was our guide in the water, he was great and is originally from Puerto Rico) ‘hey do you know what they are playing’ and Sabien said ‘I wasn’t paying attention’.

Now the intention of this review is to highlight that it is extremely important that Captain Mike gets the name right of the customer who booked the trip. Also, request Captain Mike to make an effort to understand different accents.

Top-notch experience! Captain Mike & Captain Gary EACH have 30+ years as PADI dive instructors, so their knowledge of the water and sea life is superior.

Keylypso was custom-built in the Florida Keys and is shaded, roomy & stable. They have boat beanbags, floating mats and swimming platforms that are great for relaxing comfortably.

You can explore on your own once you’re in the water, or they always have a guide in the water should you want to stick with him and get the “concierge” experience of having all of the fish, manatees, turtles & other creatures pointed out to you!

They also provide chips, sodas and water. We typically bring some (adult) beverages and food to enjoy post-snorkel and store them in their cooler. We have our own snorkel gear but don’t always bring it, as theirs is top-quality and they help custom fit each person prior to getting in the water.

We have also privately chartered Keylypso for birthday parties, holiday lights tours and sunset cruises.

There are a lot of options, some Coast Guard inspected & ceritified, some not, for getting on the water, but why not trust experienced captains and a U.S. Coast Guard certified vessel, so that you and your friends and family can focus...

Highly recommend!!! The snorkeling at Singer island with Captains Gary & Mike was great. Not only was the snorkeling experience great but you can tell they truly love what they do. We saw so many diff species of fish. It was my bf’s first time snorkeling & we originally wanted to go into the open water coral reefs. Bad storms made it impossible for us to do that but Gary called and offered us a refund and a trip to Singer Island. Best decision we made all week.

Mike and Gary also gave me and my bf amazing local advice on all the hot spots in not only where we are staying but across the whole coast of this section of FL. Lol from restaurants, to things to do and art galleries… they had an idea. Gary even suggested medicine to use for my sun poisoning which was amazing bc at the time I didn’t know how to make it better.

We’re thinking of moving to this area of FL and will definitely be back...
