Family Thrift Store — Local services in Lake Township

Has nice wide aisles near the clothing but near the linens and purses in the back its cramped. Very messy in the toy section. Always Looks like a kid through a tantrum. Has books,records,housewares,luggage and some furniture like chairs and small tables in the back. Near the mens clothes There are some seasonal items like Christmas ornaments. Near the register at the front you'll find some knick knacks and behind the register they have some better quality items. It's kind of hard to see if you are 5 feet tall like me.The counter comes up only to my chin . I have to stand on my tippy toes to see. You can walk up to the counter to look. You have to ask to see a item. This is very difficult on busy days. They usually just have one register open except on half off days they have 2. They do have promotions if you purchase a certain amount you can get a percentage of your next purchase. It's usually written on your reciept for the following weekend. My local thrift store I come here regularly but I do have a problem with how they mark their pottery with that red pencil on the bottom base where the pottery is rough it is hard to get off. As a reseller this has deterred me from purchasing them. I can’t resell something with the price on the bottom. Use tape and write the price on that or if the item has glaze you can write it on there it comes off easily. My other issue is the way they package small fragile items they clump them all together in little bags and causes damage n chips on the items. Most other thrift stores hang these they are not all placed on a shelf clumped on top of each other. Some of the items are over priced but there are some good deals. This thrift store has been the worst that I have been too so far. They have the worst employee's ever. The employee couldn't sell me a shall because it just didnt have a price tag. I asked for some to look for a price and she said no I asked for a manager she said the manager was in a meeting and it was going to be a long wait if I wanted to wait. Her job is to look for a price or get the manager if she can't do her job or just quit. Please look for employee's who do want to work!!! Please don't shop here!!!
