I really wanted to like this place as it’s within walking distance from work but I’ve been here 3 times and have had a lackluster experience each time. The atmosphere is giving corporate canteen vibes. There are many patrons taking work calls and working on laptops and that would be fine if the seating area wasn’t so small. You’re definitely going to be hearing multiple conversations and they’ll be hearing yours. The turnaround time for your order also varies. If you’re getting a drink then it can be fairly quick but if you order a toast be prepared for a wait. I have waited up to 20 minutes for a toast. If your lunch break is only 30 minutes I’d skip this place. The drinks are ok for the price. The toast is better but not worth the wait. It’s also worth noting that I wish there was more diversity within this place. I understand the neighborhood we’re in but it sucks to be the only person of color walking in; you can’t help but feel other’d. All in all this was an ok place just not a...
Read moreIt's ok. I think I would like it more if it didn't feel like a corporate addendum to the event space already in the building. The vibe is half-way between cool industrial-design and cheap millenial-coded branding. There's a stage set up with placeholder instruments like someone is about to play lol...feels a bit like a prop when it's just a cafe and not hosting any events. As for the coffee- it's also just ok. The drip coffee I orderd was dark roast and lacked some depth. Overall it felt like the space was being pulled in a few directions and coffee was not at the heart at what they really cared about compared to a lot of other cafes within a 5-10 min drive. Also I didn't see any pastries out but they did have food options. Worth a visit if you're within walking distance and I think the space itself would be nice...
Read moreThe first thing you notice about Bad Coffee is the contrast between its cheeky name and the level of care put into every drink. The espresso is smooth and well pulled, and the pour over options highlight the flavor of the beans in a way that feels deliberate. The atmosphere is relaxed and uncluttered, making it a great spot to take a break or have a quiet conversation.
While the shop is primarily focused on coffee, there are a few small bites available to pair with your drink. It is not a full café menu, so those expecting a meal might find it limited, but the emphasis on quality over quantity is clear. Service is friendly, and even when the line gets long, the drinks come out consistently good. Bad Coffee ends up being a pleasant surprise that proves its name is more of a joke...
