SEPHORA — Local services in Lake View Township

I appreciate the convenience of this location and the amount of products that they carry with the new set up of fragrances and clear division of skin care/makeup, but wow do all the employees here love to talk about how much they hate their job. Almost each time I’ve came in to browse or purchase something I always hear an employee talking about how they can’t wait to go home or talking about a plan to get customers to leave earlier so they can get out on time, when the store doesn’t close for another hour. I usually don’t leave reviews cause corporate doesn’t care, but today I had a comical experience with an employee ringing me up and giving me the rudest/annoyed face because I forgot the name of the lady who helped me earlier and because I was having trouble using tap to pay with my card. As someone who also deals in customer service, I get it; however, I always leave this particular location like it was a sin to even consider walking in and buying something. Hopefully the Sephora near Lakeview East is...

Genuinely, my favorite sephora in the area and just wanted to highlight why.

Jackie is so incredibly knowledgeable about product, and I can always go to them to find the right product for my needs. Always incredibly patient, willing to find me multiple suggestions, and honestly, most importantly, asks me how I’d like to apply and blend the product to make sure the formula works tor how I use product.

Yesterday, I came in looking to replace my beloved HG concealer since it’s being phased out. She gave me three options that should work, and even let me use one of her brushes so I could see what the experience of applying it the way I normally would be like. Genuinely, just went above and beyond to find the right product for me.

I came in here last week and had the BEST experience! I was lucky enough to have Mannie help me, and OMG, talk about knowledge, kindness and patience! I came in knowing next to nothing bc I don’t wear a ton of makeup and honestly didn’t know where to start but wanted to elevate my look. He was very patient and asked me a lot of questions about what I was looking for and then showed me some of his favorite products and that would work with my skin. He took his time and showed me how to apply it and in which order, which was key for me in actually using the product when I got home. He wasn’t pushy and you could tell he just wanted to help and educate! Also, his makeup was 💯 on point, so I knew I was in excellent hands:). I’m loving my new Nars products and feeling very confident in using them bc he took the time to show me how much to use and where/how to apply, etc. ...
