I walked in here to apply for a job and much like the other reviewers described, some of the employees are rude. The woman at the upstairs register with the curly blonde hair looks like she hates herself and everyone around her. Lindsay, the manager, is a liar. After speaking with her briefly and her telling me to email her my resume (Why would your sign tell me to inquire inside if you're just going to tell me that? I don't get it.) I went home and sent her my resume with a nice message and a week goes by with no reply. I decided to show up in person again since I live in the area, this time I was actually greeted by someone and felt somewhat welcomed, and Lindsay told me she decided to go with another candidate. I was polite and said thank you and left.
It's been a few weeks since then and they still have the hiring sign in their window. I'm more than qualified for this job given my past retail experience and received no feedback from Lindsay as to why she rejected me and she wasn't even respectful enough to email me back. It's really upsetting and frustrating when I'm having trouble finding a job in my actual field (software engineering) and I have bills I need to pay.
There is no worker shortage, just greasy looking retail managers with egos too big for the job they do.
I will never shop here and neither should you. I recommend checking out Alice & Wonder down the street. They have nicer looking clothes at a much more reasonable price point and the employees won't make you feel like you're trash.
Whoever the owner of this place is really should spend a few days in the shop and re-evaluate their team and the team's social skills because this was a decidedly asocial experience for me. Definitely not normal and...
Read moreThis shop carries several brands that I love, (Nili Lotan, Ulla Johnson, Clare V, Agolde) to list a few. However their merchandising and windows leave much to be desired. Their windows do not speak to their brands, I would never have known they carried the brands I like if it weren't for a trunk sale posting a few years ago. The merchandising inside isn't much better. It's very sparse and oddly organized and the employees are not remotely friendly. Also, they follow you downstairs and stare at you while you shop. Which is apparently their mo, since there are reviews mentioning it all the way back to the early aughts!
I wish the store would do their awesome brands justice and give itself a makeover. Their brands are hip and the...
