What a hidden gem of Lakeland! You are in the right place if you are looking for delicious, made-to-perfection baklava! They had so many different selections to pick from. My mom and I tried the caramel cashew and were not disappointed. We planned on bringing it home, but ended up eating it all on our drive. I originally came for some kataifi, but soon got distracted by the prominent display of baklava when I walked in. So I knew I just had to try some, as it’s one of my favorite desserts. When I got to the counter, the woman was incredibly friendly and even gave me tips on using the kataifi, as it was my first time baking with it. Everything was well organized and clean, making it easy to shop through the store, and I quickly found what I needed. As she handed me my change, she gifted me a free nut bar just as a thank-you for shopping there. Needless to say, this market quickly became my new favorite grocery store....

But when when it comes down to it- if you want authentic tasty, fluffy yet crispy pita that’s light to digest but full of flavor come to Jerusalem Market in Lakeland. If you give them 24 hours or two days notice they can make home made specialities like stuffed grape leaves! We bought cheese balls, authentic olive oil, holy bread (which is amazing), lamb shish kebabs , zaatar spice (goes well with hummus and olive oil), baklava, and more. We went there for one thing and basically walked out with multiple bags. Jerusalem Market is now a must for my...
Read moreThe owners are extremely kind and helpful. They seem to genuinely want to make their customers happy. I've been coming here for a long time and I don't believe that I have ever received bad service here.
The prices are very good. I don't leave feeling that I had to pay too much. Zuppina's has some groceries they sell but the same items sold at the Jerusalem Mediterranean market are of better price for the same quality. I've been surprised that the prices for the types of meat they have are so low especially given it is halal.
They also have food that you can't really find elsewhere in Lakeland. Lots of spice blends, teas, cookies, and ingredients that can be hard to find.
I really cannot recommend this store...
