China One — Restaurant in Lakeland

I posted with one star to draw attention to this post. Normally I would give this friendly, clean and great food restaurant 5 stars however today is not the day. I ordered over the phone while I am waiting I go and pick up a few things at the store. I go in and pay for food and realized half way home i was a bag short. At the same time China One called to say I paid but left food. Ty for calling me and could you just put in cooler I will pick it up later. I told the girl we were going to have it later today anyway. She said no problem. So on the way to pick kids up I run in to pick up food. Thet had given it to someone else "because they did not want me to eat cold food" I do not have time to wait on you to fix it again. I have to go. So when husband gets off work I call them, I have to explain what happened because the girl that was there had left. Ok fine. I explain. Please have it ready for him to pick up. Oh yeah, let me tell you something brother, if you're looking for some top-notch Chinese cuisine, then this restaurant is the cream of the crop! From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a real treat.

The decor was as eye-catching as Macho Man Randy Savage's neon tights, with beautiful traditional Chinese artwork adorning the walls. The staff was as friendly as Andre the Giant, always ready to assist and provide recommendations.

Now let's talk about the food, brother. The appetizers were like a tag team duo, perfectly complementing each other. The crispy spring rolls were as satisfying as a Stone Cold Stunner, while the dumplings were as flavorful as a Shawn Michaels Sweet Chin Music.

For the main course, I had the General Tso's chicken, and let me tell you, it was a real slobberknocker. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Overall, this restaurant was a true championship contender, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious...

Our take out from China 1 was great! The Wonton soup was loaded with the dumplings (at least 10 in the quart) and the broth was flavorful and well-seasoned. Our two combo meals were packed with a perfect balance of the entrees and pork fried rice. The rice was good, though a little oily, bit the peas were very hard. In the future I might ask for plain friend rice instead of the pork fried rice with the combo. We had Shrimp with Garlic Sauce and Beef with Broccoli, and both were delicious. Egg rolls also came with the combo meals, and they were good, though they could have used some filling other than the cabbage. Overall, this is a good neighborhood take out place for tasty...
