I have been in this store SEVERAL times, each time I've either purchased $100+ worth of product, or I have sold expensive singles to the store, which I was told one percentage, but given another. This last time I went was the last time because I felt rushed, my questions just seemed to annoy them, and the attitude of the yugioh guy(Spencer i think) was so rude. After all the business I have given this store, I am appalled that I was treated this way. On top of everything else I tried to purchase a few cards from various binders at the price they go by(TCG) and was denied because they thought the cards would go up in value. I also love the huge selection of card boxes and sleeves which I planned on getting more of, but was quickly rushed out the door and didn't get a chance to even look at anything else in the store. I also realize this is an OTS and I have to beg for my promos every single time I go in because they dont seem to want to give them out when you purchase $30 worth of sealed product. I even tried calling the store to see what is in stock several times a month to not waste anyone's time if they were out, and was presented with more annoyance as if my questions were irrelevant and they just wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible. I also purchased an ETB at one point, and when I got home the packs seemed tampered with, along with the box being disorganized and messy; several packs had cards upside-down and flipped around, yes sometimes factories make mistakes, not a single pack had even a GX in it, out of all the packs it was very uncommon to not get one gx or vmax or equivalent per ETB, however it seemed very sketchy. Never have i had the experience when getting pokemon product...
Read moreThese guys are seriously the most amazing guys! They are genuinely supportive and encouraging to everyone. They welcome you to enjoy the games and are lovely humans. They know the cards, the games, the rules, they take the time to explain everything and never make you feel dumb. No questions are dumb and honestly they just love getting people into the hobby. I’ve been in several times before buying for myself, my kid, and others and today was an “others” purchase. My kid is in a Magic club at school and I wanted to help the club and get mats and decks and sleeves for the kids. The shop also wanted to help out and they pitched in to support the kids they don’t even know and encourage them playing the game! I thought I would only be able to get some things like sleeves or boxes but they made sure every kid will have a complete set up of decks, mats, and sleeves for their cards and I could just cry! Without hesitation they jumped in to help like they had been waiting for me to come in and ask them to help all day. And they even helped carry everything to my car. I told them I wanted to help the kids and they said “okay here’s what we can do” and boy did they do it! I’m still in shock at their generosity and support of the kids. Seriously the sweetest and best guys. From the bottom of my heart thank you! And I am so grateful. I emailed the club teacher from my car in the parking lot to tell him the good news. Lifetime fans and customers from us now for sure. They have gone above and beyond before and but this time they went beyond the...
Read moreI stopped in Saturday to buy some cards for my son. It had been at least a year since I've been in. They have changed the store around a bit, and it looks great. The staff was very personable and helpful.
They have quite the selection of card sleeves, deck boxes, card boxes, and card mats. Boosters for Pokemon, Yugioh, Magic, and some others. Singles for sale. A nice selection of miniatures, if you like to paint those.
I don't recall seeing any RPG books, like D&D and Pathfinder, but I could have missed them. I know it's hard for local shops to carry a lot of inventory that may not get turned over, so understandable, even if they didn't have it.
I took some time to look at the boutique board / tabletop games and they have a nice selection. I've been to many small game / card stores and prices are marked up quite a bit, because they just can't compete with Amazon and the like. Prices here are quite reasonable and I can see myself spending my dollars here instead of online for those.
There is also plenty of gaming space setup in the middle of the store for casual gaming and tournaments. I look forward to going back and playing some games in the future.
Overall a very nice store with a good selection of games...
