UVA RESTAURANT & LOUNGE — Restaurant in Lakeland

It has been my go spot approximately for about two years now, but drink prices getting ridiculous. As a customer I do understand a business has to do money but tequila shots $10 each when the other day(two weeks ago) they were $4 each it's a big difference for me. Then I was asked a question I have never was asked before if I wanted to split the bill...and it came from a bartender that she has seen me before over and over...I let her know that "wow" $10 per shot 🥃 never imagined every shot would be that expensive. First bill was $30 two small drinks, second bill one drink and four shots $60. Then two more drinks $30. At the end of the night I know we spent over $100 in drinks that were not fancy or anything we talking about a margarita and something else. My point is ya getting to expensive. Unfortunately it won't be my to go spot any more, people kept ordering beer buckets 🪣, I guess that's what the "cheapest"...don't know if this is in every lounge y'all but one thing is paying for really fancy drinks another is just paying for a regular drink...personally I will not be returning to this business. On top of that the music of last night wasn't helping dj concentrated on the ones having a birthday he kept saying this is for those celebrating their birthdays ONLY. Drinks always been expensive in this place but they just got too expensive 🫰. I like to have fun and know at the end of the night I am not...

Advertised discounted drinks between 8pm-9pm on their Instagram. Showed up at about 8:45 last night and all the lights were on, no music, and the girls just standing around behind the bar. Walked right back out thinking they were closed or something. The security guy outside told me that I should come back at 11pm because no one comes this early. Not sure why they would advertise a special that early then.

Your “restaurant” was empty and looked like it was closed, I almost felt like I was interrupting the ladies from cleaning. And 2. your response was very disappointing. My friend and I went on Halloween. I called to see what the cover would be. The lady on the phone said if we had a costume on we got in free if not it would be $25. So my friend and I wore a costume. When we got to the front door the guy said it would be $5 each. He said but you get to drink until 11 for free so we agreed. I was sitting by the door and noticed no one was having to pay except I guess the ones that he wanted to charge. I was told by security it was the number one Latin nightclub in Lakeland.
