Buyer beware of this store!!! I've shopped at different value pawn for a number of years and never had any issues until I purchased an item at this location. I purchased a CD recorder for $150.00. Took it home and set it up and realized it didn't work. The cd loading door would not stay closed. I them went to return within 2 hours of purchase. The return policy is a complete refund as long as it's within 24 hour of original purchase. So i returned this recorder within 2 hour of original purchase and they charged me a restocking fee. This was not in their return policy and had never happened to me at any other locations. When I questioned the managers and staff, I was told that It's their policy to charge a restocking fee in which i asked them to show me in writing and they could not!!! I left the store with the refund minus this restocking fee. I went to 2 other value pawn stores that same day and asked if they charge a restocking fee for items returned within 24 hour of original purchase. Both told me NO and that there was no such policy. I called the corporate office to verify this information and they could not show me any such policy. Within 20 minutes of me calling corporate, I received a call from the regional manager apologizing to me and asking me to return to that location in Lakeland to receive the balance of my refund. These ladies saved my day by making sure I got the funds I needed to obtain a medication. The kicker here is I walked in the door 2 mins before they closed expecting evil stares and being snarled at, but they were so friendly and smiling. They didn't act at all like I was an inconvenience and let me tell you, this something you don't get anymore, as most of you from the 80s and before I'm sure remember. I was so impressed with there attitudes and that they knew they were there to do a job and were happy to do it. Thanks to you 2 beautiful souls for being there in such a welcoming and inviting capacity. I will always remember how refreshing this experience was considering you 2 are a rarity in this world of customer service today. I was taken back in time to the late 80s and early 90s when customer still meant something and it wasn't fake, yet it was genuine, and sincere. My gosh what a great feeling, just can't thank you enough...... keep on keepin on ladies, you freaking rocked it!........
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI' just left Value Pawn to pick out a Valentine's Day gift and it was a great experience, always is every time I go there I had the pleasure of being guided in my jewelry purchase by Deborah or Debbie she was kind expedient and didn't just worry about her commission when making decisions on what pieces to show me or recommend to me were based off of either the 4 quality of the brand or the piece itself.Her insight and knowledge of jewelry was comforting , I can only compare it to taking a ride with a stranger that major feel comfortable enough to put a blindfold on and let them drive you through the experience instead of pulling ,snatching and pushing you through an experience that is already at stress level 10 because you don't know if you're picking the right piece or if you're spending a whole bunch of money on something that's not going to be like to appreciate it or in general just knowing that you're about to be out of hundreds of dollars is stressful in itself she made it...
