I don't get many Saturdays off, but today I did.My son and I was having a Father and son day together today, his 2 favorite restaurants are Bob Evans and Oliver Garden. The plan was breakfast, movie then Urban Air. Got to Bob Evans just before 9am, it took a couple of minutes to get seated, which is normal. Once seated and waiting for the waitress. I ordered two movie tickets on line for a 10:10am start time for the movie, thinking plenty enough time to order, eat and pay. The movie theater is around the corner. Ordered our beverages and meals at the same time. 10 minutes after that a family of 3 got seated, still no beverages for us. 5 minutes later a family of 2 got seated still no beverages for us. Another 5 minutes later a party of 6 got seated, still no beverages for us. A helper came out to take the party of 6 beverages order, then ours finally arrived. My son's was fine, mine was nasty so I asked for a Pepsi instead. Waitress did promptly give me a new beverage. Now it's 9:45am, the family of 3 gets their food. 9:48amthe family of 2 gets their food. At this point,I'm done. I tell my son let's go. Go to check out to pay for our 2 beverages, the cashier ask which table we were seated at and I told her and she said your food is ready. I told her we have not been served any food and I will not pay for food we have not ate. She gets the manager which tells me our meals are in the window and they can serve us in a few minutes. I tell her no because we have been there for over 50 minutes and 2 tables that got seated 10 and 15 minutes after us have already been served plus we have tickets to a movie. She says ok... I'll only charge you for one beverage . Which is cool, $3.63. But then asked me do you want the meals to go? No.... I just told her we have tickets to see a movie... we have to go and I don't want food seating in my car for 2 plus hours. Then as I was trying to pay for my beverage , she did not help me finish cashing out. Instead she took the couple behind us to a different register and cashed them out. I completed my transaction, was never offered a receipt or an apology for the terrible service. I do not like leaving bad reviews... But this time, I'm very, very, very disappointed in the service and...
Read moreMy experience at this particular branch of Bob Evans was terrible. Started off with the friendly waitress, being very facetious here, who looked upset she had to work that day. She appeared to be more concerned with talking to the kitchen staff about an air b and b and other thing than focused on making sure her customers were properly taken care of because when asked for items she quickly forgot to bring them. When I tried to order I asked to make a small alteration to one of the dishes but she promptly stated “nope.. it come like you see it”. With that I should have just got up and left. I know she just didn’t want to make an effort because she told the couple behind us who wanted to switch bacon with sausage that that was not allowed either because there was no way to put in the computer for the change. Just on that alone I won’t go back to Bob Evans as they don’t allow menu changes. But I suspect she just didn’t want to make the alterations. This alone should be cause to abandon eating at Bob Evans again because you can’t change anything on the menu he apparently. Then I changed my order for the turkey meal. I know she was not paying attention to the food she served because on the plate I received a rather rotten and black carrot staring right up at me from the plate. The turkey and potatoes were very good though. The kitchen staff was probably distracted with our waitress as well because they actually put that on the plate too. I then asked for butter to put on my banana bread but you guessed it…. It never came. I just got frustrated and stoped asking. Ohhh also forgot that she tossed the bill for the food about 1 minutes after she sat the food on the table. This was another indication that she was through with her serving and didn’t care if we needed anything else. Just a bad experience I guess. Shame because the potential is there. Just need better staff I guess. I will also attach a picture of the rotten carrot so you can see how...

Our waitress was Shaylianne. First time meeting her, she seems like a nice person so there’s that. Everything we ordered was brought to us completely wrong. First it started with the waters I ordered a water with lemon and the lemon was missed. Which is whatever. Next, when we ordered our food she wrote everything down and repeated it out loud as she wrote it so we knew everything was correct. I ordered the home style fried chicken tenders with mash potatoes and gravy along with buttered broccoli, dinner rolls, and the wildfire sauce. My wife ordered bacon soft with the hot cakes. Waitress asked my wife if she wanted homestyle fries with them and she said sure and then a few seconds later she changed her mind and said never mind take that off the order (all happened before she left the table). When our food was brought out my wife’s bacon was over cooked burnt, she only received one pancake instead of the 4 that are supposed to come with the hot cake meal. On to my meal, I received the home style fried chicken breast instead of the chicken tenders, I didn’t get my dinner rolls and I did not get the wildfire sauce. I had to ask for my dinner rolls, I ate my chicken without the wildfire sauce. My wife had to have her bacon remade because she wanted it soft and she had to ask for the rest of her pancakes!! When the bacon came back out it was still not done correctly which is the fault of the cook I suppose. I mean I honestly don’t know how someone forgets that many things especially when you’re writing them down and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Will not go back to bob evans ever again in my life. The waitress Shaylianne was nice though, not attacking her personality or anything and even after all of the screwups I still tipped when I went to pay...
