PLEASE READ UPDATE re: Save A Lot. Mixed reactions to this place. One end (Save A Lot and blood donation center) usually has hustlers hanging around-will return your cart for you so they can keep the quarter, others that ask for money or rides. Save A Lot's lack of customer service, long and slow moving check out lines and general less than clean store conditions have kept me away. Subway seems to be where change occurs. From there to Beijing Chinese food, I've never had a problem, although that end could use more lighting.
UPDATE: Revisited 02/12/2020, NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS!! Handicapped parking available, though there are no mobility carts, which is a shame now that store has been cleaned up and the aisles are wide and clear enough for them. Produce section in particular was greatly improved. Only 3 employees visible in store, including the gentleman running the only open register. Visit was on a Wednesday, check out receipt shows 4:33:39pm. Line at check out (number 3 register, middle of store), was all the way over to the produce section. Customers coming into store saw line, turned around and left, while others with just a few things, as well as 1 with a full buggy, abandoned their selections and left. I was 11th in line. After a 9 minute wait, I was 10th in line. Finally a little voice came over the intercom, saying cashiers were needed up front. The two young ladies who had been stocking immediately responded and opened 2 more registers. I don't know if it is corporate policy or just management of this store, but chronic understaffing seems to be an ongoing problem. This does result in loss of customers. After arriving home, I did a side by side comparison of SaveaLot and Harvey's weekly ads. Overall, not enough difference (less than $2.00 (minus 25¢ for cart and buying bags) to make up for no mobility cart, bagging groceries myself, loading them into car myself and the long wait at check out. Read moreI am a local resident from the wabash area and the shopping center jse.to.be a.nice and thriving place and also.very well kept clean. Over the years ive watched this neighborhood go from riches to rags its sad. We really need to get together and give back to the community and keep it clean and loiter free from people sleeping or posting up on the shopping center sidewalks in the wee hours of the morning. And all the trash that these people leave behind is shame full because at every other post is a trash can. They are clogging up our neighborhood with bad examples.and laziness and filth. Entre ordene me atendieron en 5.minutos. la lady que tomo mi orden me dijo 15-20 minutes me fui a CVS farmacy tarde 30minutos fui a save a lot y y tarde otros 41 minutes. Fui a poner mi compras a mi vehicle y regrese a mega Mercado por mi order. y ni siquiera habian tomadodo el tiquek en resumadas cuentas perdi mis $38.dollares y centavos porque estaba esperando por mi orden la cual la Chica tenia la orden de fajitas mixed por 20 minutes sentada en el counter y el menudo soups nunca aparecio reclame despues de 1:19minutos y todos los employees parecian moscas cucarachas volando a los alrededores sin dar respuestas perdidos totalmente personas de Uber super enojadas esperando por sus ordenes telefono sonando lo levantaban y le cortaban a los clientes totalmente un disaster. Es una verguenza y una falta de respeto para los clientes por lo que parece ni a manager llegan y si hay es buen@para nada. Never again ni siquiera regresaron mi dinero. Me dio mas verguenza a mi y decidi irme a comprar a otro restaurant donde ironicamente estaba visit pero mi ordenes estuvieron exactamente en 19minutos . Tantos employees en mega Mercado y todos ineptos totalmente perdidos. En un negocio tan pequeño y como dicen por alli les quedo grande el changarro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣ojala y un dia estos propetarios de este restaurant seleccione y entrene con mucho cuidados a buenos employees que si quieren servir y tener respeto para los clientes.
