The Card Guys — Local services in Lakeside

Local card shops in my eyes have a bad reputation of over charging for products that you can get from your local Target or Walmart for retail price. I don’t know how The Card Guys do it, but they literally charge no more than 5-10$ more for fairly desirable products. I can safely say that this is probably the best LCS in town and with reasonable prices as well. The guys who work there are primarily Pokemon guys, which is ok, and the store itself seems to be more of a TCG store, but about 50% of the store is sports in terms of display. Idk, I just feel like this place does practically no scalping, and that goes a long way in a hobby where people buy out retail stores and flip them for double the price. I’m gonna consider The Card Guys my LCS from now on, was just in there today and purchased two UFC value packs from 2 years ago for 8$. They even had Premier League prizm blasters for 25$. The best place to go for cards, buying or trading they offer great deals on both sides of things. From beginner collectors to pros this is where you need to be going. If you aren't .. well ... Are u even doing it right ya know ? Great for kids and adults to join in the hobby of collecting! Absolute banger collections and even better value given for trades All around good people I've never once felt out of place here, always welcoming, patient with my STACKS of collections and informative and HONEST.

Truly admire the entire experience they offer EVERYTIME we come here. I'm thankful I live sort of close but if you're far and considering the trip. It's worth it. Do it.

This is by far the best selection of Pokemon product sealed and singles in Richmond. Spent the weekend visiting friends in Richmond and went around to multiple card stores and decided to stop here on the last day, and honestly wish I hadn’t even gone to the others places because this place was just that good. They gave great value for some graded cards and some singles I brought in. The staff were absolutely amazing and helped with any and all questions I had. Bought some sealed XY packs and some sealed Sun and Moon packs (hoping for some good pulls). Good prices on everything and the best selection I’ve seen ever for a LGS.
