Jay and his staff always knows your name when you walk in and makes you feel as though you are the only one in the world who matters. You aren't only a customer, but you are a good friend. My wife is Jewish, she saw a dish with the Star of David printed on it. She felt that we couldn't afford it. When we made our purchase of other things, Jay's mother came from behind the counter went to the shelf wrapped the dish in paper and GAVE it to my bride. That act of kindness brought my wife to tears. You cannot put a price tag on that kind of caring. I'll shop at Jay's before I go into Lakewood proper anytime I...

Before heading to American Lake for fishing, I typically stop by to pick up worms, snacks, and drinks at this market. They carry live bait, including worms.

Since I come from Seattle, it’s quite a distance to travel. When I inquired about a restroom, I was told, “No restroom.” I asked, “Where do you use the bathroom if you don't have one?” The guy said, “There are restrooms at the park.” I told him I just got here from Seattle.
