Pet Supermarket — Local services in Largo

First time almost customer. Went into this store as it was near some other places I had errands to do. I was looking for dog food and a few other pet items. An employee asked if I needed help. I said I was looking for dog food and checking reviews as I was unaware of the brands in the store. She told me her best brands in the store. I told her I was looking more for a budget friendly dog food and the brand I have usually purchased for the last 15 years. That I didn't need the top of the line dog food on the market. Her tone immediately changed and started to judge me for not getting my dog the best food in the store. She interrupted me during this brief discussion and said okaaayyy! okaaayyy! Then proceeded to walk away from me without further assistance. I guess she assumed I wasn't going to fit the kind of customers they are looking for in this store. So if you intend on being a first time customer and then follow up by being a repeat customer, this isn't the store for you. For whomever reads this from the company. There were two elderly women working and she was the taller of the two. I unfortunately did not get a chance to catch a name. Hopefully this person can get some retraining on...

I just recently started back in my fish hobby. I stopped in to buy some neons and kuhli loaches. The staff so far who have helped me are very helpful and seem to be fairly knowledgeable. Unfortunately I’ve had to bring back a few neons. One had the dreaded neon fungus white fuz on its head. Last night I found another neon had died. And today I found a dead loach. I hope this doesn’t affect the other fish I already have and hopefully the 4 neons I have left will be ok. I’m rather disappointed in the fish quality so, I won’t be purchasing anymore fish from this store. Otherwise, I do like the store itself as I would go back to buy supplies. One nice thing is, the store does have a 7 day return policy on fish so I’ll be taking the two deceased fish back...

The only reason I give three stars is because animals are being sold. The staff are great the inventory is great. Be the better business and stop selling animals —stop perpetuating animal mill businesses

not speaking about the animals for adoption but the animals that are being sold by the pet shop. These animals come from animal mills which are horrible and are nothing but breeding factories that do not care for the animals well being or health . Purchasing an animal from a pet shop is not rescuing that animal from current conditions but perpetuating a much bigger problem which are animal Mills. research and think about adopting or use a reputable breeder.
