Sutherlands — Local services in Las Cruces

Bought a sofa and recliner. It was delivered late, didn't take any of card board and plastic off. After I took all packaging off, I noticed something sticking out from under one of sofa cushions. Its the legs that go under the sofa. I called Sutherlands and the girl that answered the phone said I have to assemble myself, she said the delivery guys just deliver. If I would have known assembly required, I wouldn't have purchased it. I was going to purchase a table but I would probably have to put that together too. Never again. Not good for a lady my age with back and shoulder issues. No one not even their add said...

I think of Sutherland's as more of a local company than the big box stores. It's also closer to my home which is a plus. I usually find what I need here although it's smaller and doesn't have as large an assortment of some goods as the big box stores. Service is much more efficient and more personalized because of it's smaller size which I like. In addition, prices are often a little lower here. It's also a good place for bedding plants and soil in the spring although the selection has been cut back from what it once was. Overall, this is company...

Found some garden plants in varieties not found in other local garden stores. They stopped carrying the Moon and Stars watermelon seeds that I wanted. We'd bought our pellet stove here years ago but now they no longer carry hardwood pellets that we need (the supplier no longer offers it?)and we are limited to buying softwood brand which burns too quickly so, that's more expense for heating. They offer men's jeans for good sale prices, but none for women. They have some furniture items we like but the prices run high. Overall it's a good store...
