Taqueria El Cometa — Restaurant in Las Cruces

Wow, wow, wow...La Cometa Taqueria is not what it is made to believe. Took 15 minutes to place your order as they only had 1 cashier. Mind you we were there before the lunch hour. Ordered 2 plates and a drink. The drinks are canned and they bring it to you with your order. 35 minutes later no food, or drink. Looking around, people had been there way before us and still had not gotten their food. Tried to get our drink and we were told to wait for our order. 15 later no food, so I went to demand my drink. They gave it to me at that time. Looking out at Drive thru, cars had been sitting just as long as us maybe even longer. Customers inside the restaurant were going to the counter asking about their orders. They were being told to wait. Over an hour, we just got fed up waiting so we asked for our Money back. We did get our money back, but throwing the receipts to you and no apology what so ever. These folks need to close back up and figure out how to make things right. Working in food service for many years and trouble shooter for many restaurants, these folks need to re-evaluate their business before they go under. Wish I could have tried their food, but it never happened... no good reviews here and not going...

this place was established in jz. expanded to elp. now we got one, hell yah!! great place! salsa & condiment bar. small complimentary charro beans with chips and salsa. the food is excellent. the flautas aren't the normal size you'd expect. they're super sized. i was only able to eat 3 flautas after the complimentary charro beans w/ chips n' salsa. all the tacos (pastor, alambre, & bisteck) are really good!

Service is great! when i recently went to our LC location, they had a woman dedicated to bringing you your complimentary charro beans, chips n salsa, food order, & constantly check in to see if i needed a refill or anything. when the lunch crowd rolled-in, the line was to the door & she was still busting out service to all. nobody was waiting for the food order to arrive where like most places, our food would be sitting on the pickup line for a while till the server finally got around to it. not here. this lady was hustling & still checking in on the other customers. one woman serving all. It was my first time here and the service was terrible. The worst I have experienced in Las Cruces There was no line through the drive thru and I sat there for 5 minutes ready to order and nobody ever spoke to me on the drive thru speaker, so naturally I assume their speaker was broken. Then it took awhile for anyone to actually acknowledge me by the drive thru window. The server who finally attended me was named Jennifer was not happy at all that I drove up to the drive thru window to place my order. I explained to her I waited several minutes and nobody ever took my order at the speaker. She then took my order and was going to check with the kitchen if they had baked potatos in kitchen and I saw her rolling her eyes. Im not sure if it was directed at me or the kitchen staff, but either way it was totally inappropriate and unprofessional for her to behave that way in front of a customer. I dont care how good the food is. The employees at this place have zero people social skills and are unprofessional. I wont be...
