READ BEFORE BUYING FROM HERE!!!!
I went in there to purchase a new Xbox after my old system gave out. The 2 employees told had conflicting stories on the reason why the same system was priced $50 apart.
After stating I would take the cheaper of the 2 and save myself $50, they asked me if a had a GaneStop Pro membership which I don’t. They said I would need to pay an additional $10 for a Pro Membership because they can’t sell me a any new system without a Pro Membership.
I asked why because I don’t normally buy video games/consoles/etc and don’t go to GameStop often. They again stated you cannot purchase a new console “PS4 or any Series’” without a Pro Membership.
I told them "that's not what your website says" and tried to show them that the website said you can get $10 in savings IF you purchase a Pro Membership and it says nothing about needing to have one in order to purchase. They refused to look at my phone and replied that they don't know how the websites work this stuff, but that I need the membership in order to purchase the console. They were rude throughout this whole encounter and were willing to not sell me the costume I’m order to get me to purchase the membership.
I called another GameStop and asked if they had them in stock and if I was required to purchase a Pro Memberships or any other costs aside from the system because that's what another store told me. They replied "that's not a thing, our store would gladly sell you the console and not peer pressure you into purchasing anything else".
I went to the parking lot and double checked the website and it does not state. I am required to have a pro membership. I purchased it online at this very same store.
I went back into the store and the female was the only one inside the store. She knew what I did, didn’t ask for my confirmation email and was A LOT...
Read more12/26/24 around 16:00 - 17:00 ( because they took so long while we waited so patiently and this timeline is based off my latest GS transaction as I left and immediately went to my main GS , as I didn’t give this store my money) Incompetent workers , black dude with leather jacket paired up with a white dude with long hair. I only come to this location based off distance , this last visit was it, they barely have anything in stock anyways. They told me about the warranty controller policy, so I happily took my controller back, and he told me “oh they’re going to tell you the same thing” well guess what leather man , got me a brand new controller. Never coming back to your store, actually I’ll pull up when you’re on your shift to show you my brand new controller with warranty. Not only did the other GameStop (my main store) location helped me with efficiency and effortlessly, they serviced me under 10-5mins with great customer service ( the type of customer service that keeps you as a consumer coming back for more). Meanwhile white dude was incompetent and apologetic to his customers ( could be forgiven). Leather man was rude to his customers and always intervening with the white guys customers being aggressive towards them explaining the polices. At one point he told the customers “ I don’t want my company going out like that”, he had me switch lines three times like it made a difference in wait times. Avoid this store y’all or just avoid the leather man with the rubber band as a hair tie. I regret coming here especially from the other red flag visits, I should’ve known better, wasted my time being patient and spectating the scenarios and how they handled it. Was supposed to be a quick in n out experience...
Read moreIf I can give zero stars to this GameStop, I would. I have NEVER been turned away & blown off so fast at a GameStop ever in my life. EVERY time I go to a GameStop everyone seems seems so nice and friendly but Malcom changed that for me by giving me the worst customer service which was so unacceptable and unprofessional. I came to return a game that was purchased at a different store because it was convenient for me to go to this store since it was closer. And the first thing he says is “is it a new game? Ok, then yeah. You cannot return it. We can only do a trade!” When in the receipt it clearly says that “new items purchased can be returned within 15 days from your in-store purchase.” Didn’t even ask where I made a purchase or why I was returning the game. You would think that at this time of year, people would be a little more considerate because of the holidays. The worst part of it all, was that I didn’t even set foot for a minute in this store before even being treated like I’m worthless. Since this happened, this will be the last time I will make any kind of purchases at any GameStop for a while. I hope that another happy customer walking into this store doesn’t get their day...
