Marketon Supermarket — Local services in Las Vegas

I was shopping here today around 5:30 PM. I had a terrible interaction with the young man stocking at the produce. There is a particular fruit that is from my country that Marketon sells during the summertime. I've been searching for it since June, and I finally found some after nearly two months. Unfortunately, I found only two bags of it. So I carried one bag to the young man at the bananas and asked kindly if there's more. He was on the heavier side with a black hat and on his cell phone.

He interrupts me and says firmly, "No English." He barks at me that he doesn't speak English with an American accent? OK.

Since he wanted to play the no English card, I held up the bag again and said, "Mas?" He looked totally shocked. I'm not Hispanic, but I know Spanish. I shop at Marketon because a lot of the things eaten in my country are found here.

He tells me no very rudely. He doesn't check in the back. He doesn't tell me when to come back for it.

I notice there's a woman standing behind me, so I left and stood nearby to listen. She asked for something, and he went to the back to check for her.

Ok, I buy groceries at this location often, the place is very small for a grocery store, but clean and well organized, you find lots of products from Central America and Mexico , BUT be very cautious about the prices, this place will deceive you, mostly on lower than regular prices they advertise but the cashier rings regular prices, if you try to correct them about the price being advertised lower, they simply tell you “ I’m sorry but this is the price” they don’t go back and check because they know is done on purpose, also regular prices items very often rings higher than posted, so please do not shop here, but if you do, make note on the prices and do not let them take advantage of you.

I’ve been trying to reach the store manager to let him know what exceptional people he has working there. I have placed an order and I did it wrong, I scheduled it for pick up instead of delivery. I called to see if I could change it and unfortunately they couldn’t do that. I spoke with the bookkeeper and I don’t remember her name . She said this item had been put back but that she would pull them the next day and deliver them for me. This was not her job. She’s the bookkeeper. The items I received Were better than the shoppers do! This is the type of people that work there. I’m not Spanish-speaking but I’ve always have had a wonderful experience.
