The Photo Guys — Local services in Las Vegas

I went through a biter divorce and still have to deal with the him. We have set custody days during the week and last year along with this year, picture day and retake days are on Monday’s or Tuesday’s. Last year, I had to wait for picture re-take day since my ex allowed me to take my daughter on his day. (He didn’t have to pay for AM safe key which is why he allowed it) - I called The Photo Guys and asked to pick up my pictures because if they were sent home on a day when she goes to her Father, I wouldn’t see the pictures.

This year he said I could take her again but he never showed up at 0500 like he said. Around 0900, yesterday this was) - I called The Photo Guys and left a message. I got a call back and explained the situation, I asked if they would honor the school deals for me and bring her to the studio. I said I’m not asking for anything special for the actual picture but I’m a loyal person and wanted to keep what money I spend for pictures to the same company that Clark County uses. I was told that I would have to pay $10 to hold the spot in the calendar. I asked if the $10 could go towards the price of the package and she said no, it goes to the photographer. I again just reiterated that I am asking for one minor adjustment, nothing fancy and I have to pay $10 extra. I’m paying $30-$40 for a package where I don’t use half the pictures anyway and you can’t waive $10. She replied No; I said Thank you and hung up.

I understand how some business’ struggle these days, it’s hard to find loyal customers. I also felt, last year they were accommodating to allow me to pick them up, what would be the difference if my daughter sat in front of a screen at the studio or at the school. I’m not asking for multiple poses and me having the choice for the best one. I’ve used apps while she was under 4 years old and they added the background to the picture, 8 ordered the exact amount of pictures and paid less - and no one knew the difference. I was just trying to support business’ that Clark County uses because it was through the school, I’ve used them every year for a school picture of my daughter. The $10 might not be a lot to someone else but for me it is. I guess from now on, they will continue to take a picture of my daughter on my ex-husbands day (I can’t control that) for the yearbook, he doesn’t order pictures by the way. Mine will be done through Krome Studio for less money, my choice of pose and they allow you to see and approve...

My childs school uses the Photo Guys for their school photos. Right before lockdown happened, I purchased 2 photos packages, one was for my childs sports team photos, and one was spring photos. Then the world shut down for a year! Completely understandable. I was advised that the photos would be delivered to the school and handed out to the children after they returned. Again, completely ok.

Once the kids returned to school in 2021, my child never came home with the 2 photo packages I paid for. I attempted to call the Photo Guys, and their phone just rang with no answer. multiple times, months apart, I got nothing from them.

Finally, fast forward to yesterday when I was able to get ahold of someone in their office, and I was told that the school has my childs photos, and the I had to call the school, there was nothing they could do to get me the photos back unless I paid for the packages again. *They did offer to waive the $15 fee to reopen those photos since it was so long ago, which was nice but I already paid them for photos I DID NOT RECEIVE.

Anyway, their response was....ohh covid, it was too long ago, you have to repurchase the packages. I am a single mother, and anyone who knows about the sports photos knows those packages were not cheap! Its been so long, I just want the photos I paid for. Priceless memories I will never get back.

0 outta 10, DO NOT RECCOMEND! Id rather take school photos with an iPhone3 in a dust storm in the middle of the desert thirsty, eating a Popeyes biscuit then give them any more...

This place is a joke ! Please listen to the reviews. I have been contacting them for 3 weeks now trying to get my son’s pictures for Spring.

Every time I call they tell me that the photos are in transit but I am not receiving any tracking information or anything.

Not to mention my son’s graduation pictures for Kindergarten came already and they are horrendous, my son had something black on the side of his face. Possibly a sharpie or marker or even paint. But why not, tell the teacher so that he can go to the restroom and at least wash his face ! That’s money down the drain because I refuse to hand out those horrific pictures !

Now back to the Spring pictures, why haven’t I received them and I have called more than 3 times and given different information and instructions all three times ? If like being a single parent isn’t enough stress now I have to worry about my son’s pictures not coming in and more money wasted !

Don’t respond to me unless my pictures are sent ASAP to my home. Nevada Rise Academy needs to choose a different...
