I have lived near this restaurant for 21 years now, and for many years it was a fairly decent place to eat. But then it went way downhill. I first noticed that the quality of the food had been compromised about 5 years ago when a dish I had ordered regularly, coconut chicken, (it's not on the menu but they'll make it for you if you ask) was super tough, chewy, dry & overcooked. It wasn't edible, and there were a few more incidents just like that over the next year or two. Sometimes it was the lemon chicken. Anyway there were several other dishes that were barely edible, if at all, before we stopped patronizing the place. It was just so convenient. But my mother, who lives across the street, orders from them occasionally and is adamant that knowing what to order and what to stay away from is the key. She insists that the chicken with black beans is quite good consistently, and the veggie fried rice is passable, but I wouldn't eat the meat there, or the won ton...
Read moreBeen eating here for over 15 years but new owners have created higher prices and diminished quality. I loved their Hot & Sour soup but my most recent order included what looked like imitation crab. Which changed the flavor and had never been made in the recipe ever before. A previous order of Hot Garlic Shrimp had about 6 small shrimp and 90% zucchini. If you look at the ingredients on their website of that recipe it doesn’t even mention zucchini in it. Same with the recipe of the Hot & Sour soup. Our last delivery order was over $200. A family member wanted something vegetarian. So they ordered a dish with water chestnuts and snow peas. There were no water chestnuts in the dish at all. Another issue is they’re cooking the vegetables too much. Getting close to mush. I don’t know if they have new cooks that don’t even know their own recipes but they have problems. Our family is not interested in ordering from here anymore after 15 years....
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by this place. I thought it was going to be bland like a certain Chinese American food chain (that I really don't like). The food here was full of flavor! I ordered the bbq pork fried rice, Sesame chicken, Cashew chicken, and corn egg flower soup. Most places have very bland fried rice, where younhave to add soy sauce. This was great. The Cashew chicken was fresh with the veggies still bright in color. The Sesame chicken was not overly battered and had good chunks of chicken, nice and meaty. The family meal I ordered came with 2 egg rolls, 2 Rangoon, and 2 shrimp tempura. I will for sure be eating here again. A sit down chinese restaurant just opened by my house and I was not all that impressed. This place is way better and is a good 20min from my home....
