February 17, 11:30 a.m., in case their management is interested in looking up the personnel in shipping on the 1-23 docks.
The driver in front of me asked how long until he might get loaded. A very rude, " your appointment was 1a.m., we will load you when WE get to YOU.". I was well over 8 hours early, because I was told by the broker, and my dispatcher that this was a last minute, four pallet order, and that they were told that if I arrived early, there was a " 75% chance they would be able to load me," since it was only four pallets.
I get to the window, and I ask jokingly, "so, do I get any points for being early?" (After seeing how they treated the last guy). After they got done belittling the last driver, one says, " gimme your license," while the other says, your appointment is eight o'clock.". I said, I know, but thought....
He cuts me off, saying" your appointment is eight o'clock, get back in your truck and we will call you when we are ready."
These are two of the rudest people I have encountered in this role. I sat in my truck, and watched the trucks pile up while no more than two trucks at a time are given a door. ( 2 to 3 hours loading each). There are eight to ten open doors.
Admittedly, I don't know all of what is happening inside, but I have now sat for 8 hours, my 14 is gone, there is now an ice storm, and for ten minutes of their time I could have been at my receiver with their "rush" load 2 hours ago, and not have to contend with an ice storm.
Lastly... This is my first time here, but not my first Nestle's pickup. This is not consistent with my experience at other facilities. These people are vile, rude and nasty. Way to go Nestle's of...

DO NOT ATTEMPT RIGHT TURN FROM SR 1 ONTO WHISKEY BOTTOM ROAD... SR1 has a proper truck turnaround a couple miles up, take that and turn left onto whiskey bottom.
Get comfortable, you will not get out of this place quickly, expect 8 hours turnaround minimum. There's a TA just up the road on SR1
Office is by dock 1 in the back, find long term parking before going in, you will likely wait 30 minutes in the lobby after signing in before they call you to the window to tell you to wait more in your truck. Office has bathrooms for drivers by the vending machines.
Do not trust them to call you. Call the guard shack at the number you used at the gate to be let in, ask for transfer to shipping office if you are dry van. If you are reefer, Ask to be transferred to RDC.
Parking is a premium here while you wait, even though it takes a few minutes to loop back, you can park in the side of their SR1 exit, it's one way and wide enough for trucks to go by you no problem.
Your clock will be a split after this place, get comfortable and take a nap...
