Laurel Thrift Store ...January 2017..I Purchased a beautiful TV stand that was sitting in the furniture area with no price tag I went to register to ask for help and also asked if it had been previously sold because there was no price tag on it and no sold sticker was sent back to the furniture area this time there was a store worker present I asked him if the piece was available or already he said it wasn't sold was put out the day before Sunday as this is Monday and gave me a price .. I went to register paid for it sat in store waited over a hour until l my mover arrived to store to pick it up ...low and behold in walks a customer to pick up the item I purchased says they sold it to him on Friday..I requested to speak with the store manager to straighten out the situation as I had been sold the item by a lady whom was found to be the assistant store manager because she signed the sale...NOW HERE IS THE ISSUE THE MAN WAS ELDERLY AND I STOOD PATIENTLY WHILE HE WAS SPEAKING WITH THE STORE MANAGER SAYS WHEN HE BROUGHT IT ON FRIDAY HE TOLD THEM HE COULDNT TAKE IT THAT DAY AND WAS TOLD HE WOULD BE CALLED IF THERE WAS A ISSUE .. THE VERY NEXT DAY IT SNOWED ..SO HE SHOWED UP MONDAY EVE TO PICK IT UP...THEY INTEROGATED HIM WHICH IT FELT THAT WAY WHO TOLD U THAT WHO SOLD IT TO U WHAT DID THE STORE CLERK LOOK LIKE ETC ETC ETC . HE HAD A RECEIPT SAYS HE WROTE HIS INFO ON THE SOLD TAG . APPARENTLY THEY DIDNT DO THEIR JOB AND TAG IT..SO HERE WE STAND WHO SHOULD GET THEIR MONEY BACK ..IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE PURCHASE RECEIPT 24 HR PICK UP...I WANTED THE MAN TO HAVE HIS ITEM (FAIR) SEEING THAT HE PAID FOR IT .. EVEN THOUGH I PURSHASED IT FOR MY ELDERLY MOTHER IT WAS ONLY FAIR ...MORAL IS THEY NEED BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IF A ITEM IS PURAHASED TAG IT PROPERLY AND MOVR IT TO AN STORAGE SECTION IN THE STORE SO MISHAPS LIKE THIS DONT OCCUR...I SHOPPED HERE FOR YEARS BUT IT MAKES YOU NOT WANT TO EVER GO BACK THERE...(POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE)..AND ..IT TOOK ME A WHOLE WEEK TO GET MY MONEY...

Beware of Mattress sales at this location!!! I purchased a mattress and box spring from this location and before paying for it I asked the manager several times was the mattress new... he would never make eye contact with me but slowly responded by saying yes everything in the plastic is brand new. After I received my receipt I noticed it said no refunds... I got the mattress home to my new house and found overnight from my daughter that it had some sort of bugs in it that severely bitten her while sleeping. The following morning I called the store and spoke with an assistant manager and explained to him that bugs were coming out of the mattress they sold me. He placed me on hold and came back on the line and said bring it back and they would refund my money but that really bothered me because my receipt clearly said no refunds on mattress. I was thinking what if they just put it back on the floor to scam the next person. So I immediately contacted pest control to confirm what I was suspecting and sure enough it was bed bugs infested in the so call new mattress. I'm working to see who I need to report this too in an effort to prevent someone else's from going through this hell but I want to urge everyone not to buy any mattress...

This is one of my favorite Thrift stores in the area. I must emphasize, the store is crammed with clothing (men's, women's, children's) and one should allow time to search through the racks. In addition to clothing they have a decent home accessories section , small furniture (sofas, dining room tables, dressers/TV stands and hutches) but it's very hit or miss there. Explore with and open mind and an idea but don't go looking for anything specific. They also have a small appliances and TV section with a "electronics service center" in the rear of the store and a single stall dressing room with a decent mirror and "okay" lighting.

Overall, nice place to shop if you have the time. Enjoyable music piped through ceiling mounted speakers with announcements in English and Spanish with a majority Spanish speaking personnel.

Nice sized parking area with upper level having handicap accessible front row parking. Also, a decent space on the side for donation drop-offs.

Had its own turn lane to get into the location but bring your patience when trying to exit. I often exit by turning right and turn around about a half mile up the road to avoid incoming traffic congestion. (therefore the 4 out...
