Dollar General — Local services in Lawrence

This store is a complete MESS. Product is on the floor, isles are unorganized, and there’s open food products everywhere. My boyfriend stepped in some chocolate candy on the floor! and it got all over his nice shoes!

Products are also mislabeled. We tried to buy this bag of Mothers Circus Animal cookies, which were marked on the shelves as $1, and when we brought the bag up to the checkout, it rang up as $4. I politely tried to tell the cashier that it was marked as $1, and that we’d pay the full price, but we just wanted to let them know it was marked wrong so they could fix it. We took the last bag, so there was none left, but my boyfriend remembered where they were stocked at, and he showed the employee where we picked the bag up from, in the cookie isle, where the sticker CLEARLY read $1, and the employee LIED to us, telling us they don’t even stock those cookies in that isle, and they were a Christmas only item, despite us buying these cookies in that isle for a while now, since the summer. The employee even suggested that WE were lying because it was the last bag!!

If you can help it, NEVER set foot...

LMAO this store should be getting shut down soon I myself Charles Pullins use to work here and did everything perfectly for very low payment I was suspended because the district or general manager ( not the store manager ) claims they have me on video pulling my gun out on someone when I myself and my store manager asked to see the video for ourself we were always given the run around never seen the video lmao the world is funny I quit immediately yes I did protect the store yes I always carried my firearm to this day I still have my carry permit even though you don’t need it in indiana no more but I never pulled it on any customer I’m 6’5 321 lbs size 18 shoe unless my life is at full danger there’s no need for me to just pull my firearm out if there is no need to...

The store closes when they get a truck? Not sure why… All boxes remain unpacked and on the floor anyway. Absolutely terrible that this store as well as most dollar generals are unable to maintain professionalism. Stop opening up new Dollar Generals and unpack the ones you have! Went to 3 different dollar generals in a 5 miles radius- ALL CLOSED DUE TO TRUCK/STOCKING. WOW!!!

Was able to get what I needed at Dollar Tree. May I mention that at that time, they too had a truck, they had 2 employees in the back with the truck and one employee at the register. Way to go! That’s how it’s supposed to be!
