Took in some gold and silver to sell. Low balling would have been an improvement. They offered me $1000 for what I took to another shop (who also got me, not as bad) and got $2300. I even kept a few of the rings these guys offered the $1000 for total. Friendly, yes. But scandless. Total scrap value of what was actually gold was over $3000. The other shop got me out of my frustration of trying to be hustled by people like this. Go elsewhere. For everything. If they'll rob you on your stuff. They'll do it on your purchase as well. 2 friends sent me here. So glad I didn't listen to the guy and went elsewhere. If you are scrapping, go to a shop with a scanner that will say what your gold actually is. Get a receipt to show what percentage of scrap they are giving you. Break everything so they only get scrap. Not pay you $20 and sell it for $800. Most of all, know what you have and be careful. Lots of scammers like these guys...
