Came in on 08/14/2020 looking for a 100w heat lamp, but they don't sell one that low in wattage. Love coming here and browsing. I'm one that looks for good deals, and I thought I had found one. I found a mechanics creeper that was on sale. Originally $35 but on sale for $20. So I grabbed one! Got up to the register, excited about my catch. Rings up $40. I informed the cashier that it was on sale. She proceeded to call someone for a price check. I heard someone over the radio say that it was $45. Then there was some chatter over the radio that I couldn't make out what they were saying. The cashiers final decision was that they were holding firm with the $35 price that it rang up as. I was a little bummed out, but I told her that I would be a good sport and put it back. I walk back over that way and I meet four other associates (one older male, younger male, older woman, younger woman) standing near the creepers talking to each other. They make eye contact with me, look in my cart, and then look at me again. Not another word was said by them. I place the creeper back on the shelve and go to the next isle over to look at the car care products because I have nothing else better to do with my time. As I'm standing there looking at it all, I overhear unprofessional conversation, to say the least. I then hear another associate key in on the radio and sing "chickens are heeeerrreeee!". Right as she was finishing up her message, the younger male in the bunch sparkly said "SHUT THE F(word) UP!" (Not over the radio, but in front of his cool coworker buddies) as the they all laughed and cracked unprofessional jokes together. It took every calm hair on my body not to bust up their employee party and call them out on their unprofessionalism while educating them on ethics. I really wish I had gotten their names so that maybe they could be coached by someone that is over them. Ignore my lack of grammar and or spelling in this review. It's very informal. If any store management sees this, I would be happy to give them any information that would lead to professional development to the four "employees" that conducted themselves the way they...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came in during Black Friday (11/25). As my boyfriend begins the necessary forms to purchase his weapons, Mr. Michael Osburn (the assistant store manager) makes a comment regarding his citizenship. Mr. Osburn says and I quote, “you’re not an illegal alien are you? like from out of this planet?” He proceeds to laugh while my boyfriend does the mature thing and disregards the “joke”. Not everyone will agree but this is not laughing matter. This comment was made based solely on my boyfriend’s appearance. Moreover, the form itself asks for citizenship status so this was an unnecessary remark. It gets worse because Mr. Osburn proceeds to be extremely nosy as my boyfriend enters his SSN and birthplace. Surprise surprise, he’s a citizen BORN and RAISED right here in Lawton, Oklahoma. I noticed that the next customer, who happened to be a White man, did not get monitored closely at all. In fact, Mr. Osburn turned the tablet screen completely towards the customer and did not stare at the information he was putting in at all. Call it what you will, I call it discriminatory. I even felt Mr. Osburn was dismayed when my boyfriend passed the screening and was treated with respect by his employee + the aforementioned customer. I say this because I saw his face/demeanor change throughout the interaction. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1, is because the employee working alongside him (didn’t catch a name but his hat read “John 3:16) was very kind. I also feel the lady from corporate I spoke with was nice and apologetic, she reassured me that the complaint would be passed along to the regional manager here for review. I am not hoping that Mr. Michael Osburn loses his job. In fact, I only hope that he sees this and thinks twice before he speaks. As an assistant manager, you represent the company and no customer deserves to be spoken to this way. It’s downright inappropriate and gives Atwood’s a...
Read moreSome parts of the store are great, other parts are left to fend for themselves. The apparel area gets worse every time we are in there, there's no continuity, if the jean says Wrangler its just put on whatever Wrangler rack is nearby. Had been looking for the Groove belt, their display was just put by the dressing rooms with only 1 belt out of packaging on it and looks like it hadn't been restocked in a long time. Finally found the jeans we needed and got up to checkout and a male waved us over to his register. He had an Assistant Store Manager name tag on. He processed our transaction, and when we got home found out that all 3 pairs of jeans we purchased still had security tags. We live an hour away from Lawton so it was definitely an inconvenience to have to again make a two hour round trip to have the tags taken off. Emailed Atwoods on their customer service website and have...
