Hi my name is Jennifer, the food was good and the service pretty good, I liked it honestly. Me and my husband James Wilson are frequent customers at kudos we actually love kudos we come very often. My kids also love you guys food. Never really a problem with food or service, but we can’t help but notice every time the manager is there I think his name is nick or something alone that or similar to that name, yeah we notice how he treats his employees and it makes the atmosphere a little tense, he seems to be on some type of high horse or idk what’s going on but we notice how he approaches and interacts with his employees, that’s not a manager. We feel attitude or a little tension when he speaks to the employees mainly the female workers.. That’s not ok because we are very fond of kudos and I tell my daughters and children pay attention because they will be working soon, I hope it changes, if not we see a problem waiting to happen, I hope those girls and other employees get the recognition they deserve and handled in a matter of care and decency from their team leader. I hate to have to do this but again the service was great the food was pretty good but when we come and he’s there it’s like he’s controlling or reciprocates energy on the more aggressive or tense side. And my husband stated that if his kids or daughters were ever getting handled in an uncareful manner or a tension work space he would make sure that’s the last day a man ever acted like that towards them and it honestly makes me feel bad because I understand, I just really hope it doesn’t have to come to that and that he becomes a little nicer, have a nice day and once again we love kudos and we will be back soon! I can answer any questions in person or state what we have seen and noticed we will be there Wednesday for my sons birthday thanks again!...
Read moreI would like to start out by saying our waitress was absolutely lovely and sweet. She was honestly the best part about eating there... and probably the only good thing too. I believe her name started with a D but I'm horrid with names (I'm sorry).
So I'm gonna start off with the biggest issue. Both my husband and I got food poisoning. It's a day later and he's still not doing great. Not bad enough to go to the hospital, but still. The salad was fine, although a lot of ginger. The miso soup did not taste like miso soup and it had those like crunchy fried onion bits in it. I had the spicy beef hibachi, tasted fine. They didn't do the best job of mixing the spice in properly, so some meat had no spice and some had eye watering levels of spice. My husband got steak and scallops, the kitchen forgot his scallops until he was nearly done eating. Which not the biggest deal, I've worked as a line cook, I'm a fairly forgiving person. Our appetizer came out pretty much at the same time we'd finished our whole meals and were asking for the check. We assumed they just had new cooks, whatever, no big deal. Most of our dining experience, we just figured "hey, maybe they've got new cooks", whatever. The food poisoning I'm not willing to get past though.
There is a bus boy who behaved inappropriately. We didn't say anything at the time because the restaurant was pretty empty apart from a family, and I didn't want to make a scene. However, I do think it's fairly inappropriate to repeatedly stare at a customer's chest - even after I caught him, he continued to do it.
Their gyoza is very tasty tho. That's all I can really say as a positive apart from our...
Read moreAlthough I have never eaten here, the reviews seem to be good with regards to the food. However, as far as takeout service goes, you will wait a long time. And if you are a delivery driver (as I am) you tend to be passed over in favor of those simply picking up their to go order (which Ive seen waiting a very long time as well). There is one particular young lady, working takeoutost nights, who does not understand what it means to hustle or how lucky she is to have a job amidst covid. All 5x I have been here I have seen her talking with coworkers or on her phone and most recently was assured my order w/b ready within 30m therefore I went to pick up another order and returned. Upon my return she was sitting at a table on her phone and when she saw me, jumped up and darted to the kitchen. After 7m she returned, sat it down, turned to chat w/ a coworker and then lazily placed the utensils and sauces in it. Knowing I was waiting! Also, this is after being ignored in the 1st place waiting to place the order. This is only the most recent incident. This seems ti be standard fare when she is working takeout. I will no longer be accepting deliveries from here. As a side note, on busy nights, you will wait 45m to 1hr if having to place an order at the counter. I should also add, other gig workers have shared the same sentiment with me as we waited together in prior instances. Unless they speed up this process they will lose even more delivery orders. The drivers and the restaurant are supposed to be partners in ensuring the food reaches the customer in a timely fashion and the takeout area workers need to be trained with regards to said...
